haha, I had a very similar thing a while back, he also was very polite, and stayed polite (that's something, I guess), but I still removed & blacklisted him ^^ he only asked for games though, and I acutally would have given him a freebie (some key I would've just dropped in the forums) if he could've given me a reason, but alas, he had absolutely no reason at all when I asked him, and even told me that this begging never worked for him, so I didn't want to set a precedent ...

Does being asked out on a date by a ugly and fat chick count as being asked for a "donation"?

Someone once gave me an expired DOTA2 treasure just to rid it from their inventory. I didn't think much of it but like a week later I got someone who added me and begged hard for it. I kept asking them what the value of an expired treasure was and what they'd do with it but they explained nothing and just insisted. Looked it up and it was indeed worthless. Launched DOTA2 to see what would happen and it just deleted it from my inventory.

I still have no idea why they wanted that expired DOTA2 treasure so badly. It wasn't some oddball person that wanted to collect them because they actually played DOTA2, so it just would have evaporated from their inventory.

I've gotten multiple beggars while I've been here. Usually, after I do a massive key dump (I've done a couple) someone asks if I have any spares, because obviously I got rid of a bunch of keys (which may have been used) and I'm holding on to a secret, reserve bunch of keys that may have been used that I'm willing to dump, in private, to one user. I also grabbed a bunch of GoT Genesis keys when they were free and dumped them; later someone added me to ask if I had more (even though I said that was all). Besides that, I get rather frequent CD key queries, which I guess doesn't matter much, but no one ever contacts me about them so I just have to assume it's someone trawling for CD keys from old posts hoping they somehow redeemed a key and asking for an email which will do them absolutely no good.

Happened once I think, he/she asked me if I had any more keys after a giveaway :3

I've experienced one a week ago. They wanted my winter case but I just shitpost until they gave up.

I mean ... atleast that guy is polite .

Only the once, and I saw it coming.

Had an ordinary chat with him once. Second chat he kept mentioning that it was his bitrhday and seemed to be hinting heavily that he might quite like something but didn't ask. Third chat he asked me to buy him games. He said he'd pay me back in the future so it wasn't straight begging but I'm sure I'd never have got anything back.

I took the diplomatic way out and told him that I've seen too many friendships ruined when one friend lends money to another and despite good intentions can't pay it back. Said that as I considered him a friend I couldn't do it. Never heard from him again, lol.

whenever someone asks me for spare items, i give him a spare "Block" xD

I had 2 people like. One of them was pretty sure i will buy him Terreria i don't know how he can be so sure. Other one just asked how am i and then do i have a spare key. :(

They always come for my inventory goodies with greed in their eyes, but none ever leave for I am a great sloth dragon and I vanquish any who would dare touch my hoard.

My first and only beggar unsuccessfully tried to convince me to give him a 25$ worth game for free. He said that I was greedy.

one day some guy added me. he said: " its my birthday. give me a present" just like that.
i said " happy birthday. but no present for you"
and he said " GIMME A KEY FOR CSGO NOWWW, ITS MY BİRTHDAY!" with capslock on.
i said "...." and removed and blocked him..
this is my boring story...
