My first beggar! :D [also giveaways]

Surprised that was your first time considering your generosity here, and the amount of trading you do. And by how polite he was about it, that's the best beggar I've seen yet. Probably once a week I get nonsense like this, half of them almost feel insulted that I don't agree to give them free things. "You have so many games and you can't give me just one omg lol". Travesty.

havent met any beggars but i do get random invites from private profiles people adding me with avatars primarily containing girls with fur coats for some reason [thusfar 6 ]

I get beggars on a regular basis and I tend to ignore them on principle. They generally take the hump when I won't give them free stuff because I do giveaways or whatever. Even if they have 2,250 more games than me and an inventory full of TF2 keys. They always say it would mean a lot to them and I hope it isn't me that is being unreasonable.

I did get someone on Steam begging me for an alpaca. But they were a relative and also drunk.

Till now, I have been added by like 1000 beggars and 1000 phishing bots. Am I cool? :B These are the disadvantages of trading, but nevermind, because trading is profitable. :P

What a polite person.. give me his name in message.. i will add him.. give him a card.. then blacklist him in SG...

I never had anyone beg for stuff. So far people only added me to give me somthing ^^'
Then again, if I haven't seen the person trying to add me around on steamgifts, I usually don't even accept their request.

I just remembered though, I once asked a friend of mine [whom I know in real life] if he needed his Skyrim cards 'cause they've been sitting in his inventory ever since he got them because I wanted to craft the badge haha. But that's not really begging, right? That's rather 'asking a question', or am I considered a beggar now? (☉_☉)

I don't think I've had anyone begging for free stuff... but some random user left a totally random comment on my Steam profile not so long ago. One word. Jew. I'm not even Jewish. O_o

Never have someone begging before, guess my inventory is not good enough... Thankfully. Althought I don't play CS:GO, so I don't get all the people who want items and what not. But if I had to have someone beg from me, I hope at least he's polite like this one was.

I had a random person invite me then send me 7 group invites for groups that give things to people that invite a lot to their group...

yeah I get tons of random private profile "peeps" adding me makes it hard to trust, with all the hacking & begging that goes on, on the steam

Especially when the bots spam wasnt a thing, i used to accept every friend request,I had many beggars asking for games and skins for csgo. Blocked them all ^^

I had a person contact me on GOG recently. At first they wanted to do a trade (I have a list in the trade thread there, but it's very out of date), but did not offer anything that I wanted, and then asked me to give them some games, and when I did not respond within a day or so the person got really upset.

But one of my favourites was a long long time ago, back in the days when ICQ was a thing (right at the turn of the millennium). Under my user profile, I had stated where I lived, and you could search by location. This area was one of the first areas in Sweden to get good high speed broadband, and a person repeatedly contacted me and asked me to download games for him from different shady sites, as his connection would time out. I never agreed to it, yet he kept trying to get me to send him pirated games over ICQ.

One of my friends once just wanted some of the emotes had lying around, and backgrounds. I just told him this sin't exactly how Steam works…

Other than that one, no. Even though I do weekly free key dumps and giveaway lists on three group forums and have an active barter.vg profile set up.
Probably because my profile quite obviously states that I'm not exactly from the richest country in the world…
Not that I mind the lack of random friend requests or beggars though.
