I can't think of anything to add to my steam wish list, so I want suggestions from you magnificent bastards. I have no preference, but I do have exclusions:

  1. No puzzles. I already have enough puzzling to do here. :P
  2. No anime. The anime me is dead and long gone. :3
  3. No horror. Reality is already a nightmare itself. :/
  4. No free to play. Just no.
  5. I will not accept any Assassin Creed or Roller Coaster Tycoon game suggestions.

Current wishlist(Jan 12)
-Assassins Creed II, Brotherhood, Revelations, III
-Roller Coaster Tycoon 3
-Subnautica
-Civilization V
-Deathtrap
-Total War: Warhammer
-Warshift
-Fallout 4

P(M)S: Participation will grant you white list permission to a future gibaway sometime between now and March 17th(St. Patty's Day)! The reward will be worth 20 USD! Lvl 0+!

★★Closed! Thank you for the suggestions; I added some games to my wishlist. Expect a new thread in Off Topic for the giveaway link in the future. I will look over the replies again and maybe add more games. ★★

I tried before but refund it. Perhaps I was swept away when the game was "trendy" at its popularity peak.

Wow, 6 games on your wishlist right now. That might just be the shortest wishlist I've ever seen!

Hard to recommend only a few, but please check out the trailers for these:

The Flame In The Flood

Skyhill

Salt (it sits next to Subnautica in my wishlist currently)

Endless Legend

Republique

Hope you find at least one of those that you like enough to add to your list :-)

Novus Inceptio unknown yet promising survival game.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger extremely playable FPS with a story told in a way you've never seen before.
Europa Universalis IV a must-have for every strategy lover.

I reckon you could do with some Shovel Knight in your life. Also, Rise of the Tomb Raider has already been recommended, but the 2003 version of Tomb Raider is pretty good and goes on sale for fairly cheap. You also get a copy if you pre-order Rise of the Tomb Raider (which I did. I know, I know. Pre-ordering is evil)

  • Undertale (don't ask questions, just play it)
  • To The Moon (beautiful story, worth knowing)
  • Papers, Please (one of most interesting indie games)
  • Life is Strange (try the first chapter, it's worth a try)
  • Sleeping Dogs (if you like action sandboxes)
  • Civilization 5 (or maybe don't... it's addictive as hell, it may ruin your life)

Dead rising 3 is abysmal and I would not recommend it at all.

I really enjoyed Bastion, imho a masterpiece. Touching and magical, an interactive tale.

If you like strategy games and history i have to suggest you Crusader Kings II, deep and challenging (and it let you to be a tyrant o__o)

Cheers

I saw you had Dead Island, and Dying Light is way better :)
Far Cry Primal is going to be awesome :) not sure if you have tried the other Far Cry games, but it is probably my all time favorite series
Divinity: Original Sin is a fun turn based RPG you can play co-op and I had lots of fun with it
S.P.A.Z. Space Pirates and Zombies is another one of my favorites, top down space shooter/RPG
S.P.A.Z. was developed by 2 people I believe and they are working on S.P.A.Z.2

Someone else suggested Grim Dawn... I am hooked on it right now... it is in EA but mostly complete and suppose to be coming out next month.

Oh yeah Mad Max was a lot of fun too, if you like driving around in the wasteland and killing raiders :P (and big explosions)

Only 3 hours in Dead Island and I have not touched Dead Island Riptide. Horror is not a genre I dwell in significantly.

yeah sorry, I wasn't even thinking about that being horror. It's not scary at all until the night zombies come out, hehe. but most of it you can play during the day. I didn't like Dead Island much at all.

also when I read horror, I figured you were talking about the games just designed to scare you... I hate those games, and dying light is so much more than that

I suppose it depends on your gaming history. I loved Final Fantasy 7 & 8 so I of course replayed both on Steam
Freedom Fall is a challenging and unique platformer. Gotta look it over.
Broforce is surprisingly brilliant too. So much fun, single player or co-op

Not sure if you are THAT into sims, but how about Cities:Skylines and/or Tropico 4 (haven't tried the 5th one to give an honest opinion).

Edit: just saw that someone else suggested Cities, Replace that with maybe, Fallout 3, Fallout 3 NV, Fallout 4 or Skyrim.

I recommend "Space Engineers" and "Medieval Engineers" if you like building (and destroying) things :D
Both are still early access, but there are weekly updates. The developers are really hard working on their games and theres even good mod support :)

I suggest you try Rome 2 Total War or Attila Total War. Considering that you have already some TW titles, you should definitely try out these two.

If you want something different then you could choose Just Cause 2 or 3. Both excellent games where you shoot stuff and explode bases. It would fit to your style as you like shooting games.

You may also wish to try Battlefield Bad Company 2 or, for a way better experience, you may try Battlefield 4 (which is on Origin - Premium version with all the DLCs and 30+ maps costs just $19.99, offer ends in 7 hours tho). For me, BF4 is the best shooting game created. It has around 30k concurrent users on average every week, you buy it for its multiplayer. On the other hand, you buy Bad Company 2 both for its Multi and its Single player Campaign (it has the best Campaign among all BF series). Still has some active servers to enjoy your stay.

L.A. Noire is a game I'm setting up to replay. I remember enjoying it a lot.
And Civilization V (complete edition, ideally), is one I get a lot of hours out of.

Hmm maybe: Saints Row: The Third, Dishonored, Dungeons 2 and Age of Mythology. And just so it isn't only a list I'll explain a bit why - Saints Row: The Third I have played and it was really fun and had a better story to me than Saints Row IV (which is also really good and I would suggest playing it after the older one), Age of Mythology is really fun (I love AOE) and it was also great to play with friends, Dungeons 2 look interesting to me since it reminds me of Dungeon Keeper which I loved and finally Dishonored because I loved Bioshock (which I really recommend as well!) and this game also looks like a great first person game with an interesting story.

Why don't you use the Steam Store exploration queue? I've checked every single available game using that feature and I love it.
