Do you?
If you really want to know what science has to say about that, you could read about the Fermi paradox.
http://waitbutwhy.com/2014/05/fermi-paradox.html A very nice read :)

You're welcome! :D
A while back when I read that, I remember being left with a strange feeling... wondering if it would be that great to find life in another planet. What's best? being alone in the universe? the feeling of impending doom? damn that Great Filter...

Chances of alien existence is bigger than gods existence and yet we believe in gods so aliens THEY DO EXIST.

I have no idea if there is an intelligent life outside our planet. And I am not sure if there is any on this planet.

I didn't believe in aliens but i see there are many here.

Maybe they do exist and we are all characters trapped inside one of their video games ;)

The chance that we are alone is exactly zero percent. Why dont they come to here? Who knows, perhaps they dont interfere with barbarian planets, because if they know about us then we could look like primitives for them. the only thing what a habitable planet could give for any race is food. Some movies says they could invade us for resources, but oh hell, meteorite belts have much larger source of resources than a planet and with the right techonology it could be easier to get extracted.
On other hand, we could be really alone in the milky way, its sure that some technological advanced species existed, but not anymore and the next one will get enough intelligent by the time once humanity not exists anymore. Its likely that intelligent species could get easily to the age of oil but then they kill themselves with this technology and they cant progress to the next step anymore so they never reach that level of technology which required for traveling in space.

I just discovered this theory only some days ago:
It’s a theory about why the universe seems so filled with potential for life and yet we haven’t found it. It states that somewhere between pre-life and an advanced civilization that is capable of colonizing the stars, there’s a Great Filter that stops them and ends life. This means humans fit into one of these three scenarios: -We’re rare, meaning we’ve already passed the Great Filter, unlike other civilizations on other planets. -We’re the first, meaning conditions in the universe are only now life friendly and we’re among many on our way to the capability of colonization. -We haven’t hit the Filter yet, meaning we are fucked. If this one is true, it means finding life or proof of life on Mars or Europa would be awful news because it would almost certainly mean the Filter is still ahead of us instead of behind us.

Choo-choo!
Well, concidering how huge the universe is and how little we know about it, I think its foolish to believe, there is abolutely no life anywhere out there..
What I believe:
Any form of life: Yes, definatly!
Intelligent life: Who knows, but I think its very likely.
Did/do aliens already visit our planet: Not impossible, but I don´t really think so.

on what facts do you base your "definitely" and "very likely"? ^^ from what i've heard, intelligent life other than ours is not that likely.

Already said it: Simply the vast amount of planets, stars and galaxies out there.
There are an estimated 50,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets in the observable universe, that we concider to be in the "inhabitable zone", wich only means that life (by our current definition) would be most likely to be found in that area.
While it may need an exorbitant amount of coincidents to spawn life, we are proof that it can happen and large numbers make it more likely that it happens more than once
..and "estimate", "oberservable", "current definition" and "most likely" are leaving lots of room for better chances.
Its still just my believe, I´m not a scientist and not trying to state is as a fact, but I do firmly believe that there is some kind of life somewhere out there (even if its just bacteria, plants etc).

Definitely. I don't say that there are aliens out there with highly evolved technology and space ships, but something living is out there. Even when it's just bacteria. All those planets can't be entirely dead.

That depends on how you define aliens,if you mean beings from other planets than my answer is no.If you mean spiritual beings from other dimension(s) than yes.

There are most definitely other forms of life on other planets, and above all, an alien form of life could be some spores or microbes, it doesn't have to be intelligent beings like humans... Even though, imo humans are odd creatures even for our planet where there is a ton of life, there is nothing else quite like us. Which means either we won the lottery to get such a life form, or we aren't here by accident... Conspiracy theories all along.

As the title asks... Do you believe in aliens? Do you believe there's something else out there or are we alone in the universe?
