Will games be on sales (with the biggest cuts) again during the last day?
As I remember it used to be like that.

In the past, the last day or 2 were usually rewinds, but we have the postcards this year so it may be different.

That said almost all games that were on sale were repeated multiple times as either flash or community choice, I don't think you'll see anything new if you were attentive the entire sale.

I can think of one game up for a Community vote that hasn't nabbed a Flash or Daily (Expeditions: COnquistador). Pretty sure it lost out to a game that has been on sale 5 or 6 times already this past ten days...grrrr

Yes, that is the case here. Clear Sky is DRM free, the rest got keys which I presume are for Steam (haven't opened them so I can still ask for a refund).

I missed mainly UBI deals: Driver SF and Ghost Recon Future Soldier, aside from that I expected AvP to get discounted again, Bulletstorm, Alpha Protocol, maybe Krater and Ridge Racer at more than 75%...
All in all I wasn't particularly happy with this sale.

This was my first summer sale, while I bought $60 worth of games, there were days which I felt were pretty bad (like when certain games repeated to be on sale for both daily deal, community choice, and flash sale, or when games like infestation/war z were on the daily deals.) Hopefully winter or next summer sale will be better.

I agree.. It was a good sale and I got lots of stuff, but a lot of games that I've seen discounted to certain prices in previous summer/winter sales got discounted but not as much as they have been previously.

Not every game goes on sale every time for the same prices. Old games especially tend to be hit and miss because Valve and publishers both obviously prefer to feature newer games as much as possible.

nope. it was worse. Many classic titles were not discounted as much this time, and there were too many repeats. No big discounts on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R bundle, Star Wars Collection, LucasArts Adventure pack...

That wasn't the biggest disappointment for me too. I wanted to buy the entire Elite pack. Oh well. Winter sale I guess. Ubisoft games didn't get really deep discounts in general. Prince of Persia and Ghost Recon I don't remember seeing get big discounts either. I think it could be because they are trying to bring people to UPlay instead.

People and their expectations...be realistic maybe so you don't get disappointed? What did you expect, 75% on a game that just got released? 33% on Deadpool and Final Fantasy was already more than what could be expected.

Well L4D2 was on sale/free weekend for about 2/3 weeks ago (Price was 5$). And for about 2/3 days before it was on the Community choice. And guess what. The community "has" choosen L4D2 as the winner (75% off price 5$). Games that were on sale were just pulled out on sale again but this time with much more publicity. Don't compare Winter and Summer sale last year with this year.
Sure Deadpool is a fun new game but with his bad metacritic it will drop soon (which is this case is good) but costumers will now think that they made pretty good deal and thats here were I get disappointed. As already said "almost all games that were on sale were repeated multiple times" (let's ignore Final Fantasy because I don't know which one you mean)

Yeah but if there was gonna be an encore why would there be a community deal coming up? Usually when there's an encore all the special deals end when it's going to appear.
