Nice~ So you have some experience already. If I may ask, how did you help them translate? Did they come to you, or did you just offer yourself to help?
The group is still new, so the way we're doing it currently is contacting the devs and ask if they want our help.

I was looking for a spreadsheet with information on how many (or even which) users are translating to what language(s) on the group page, but couldn't find anything.
Is such a thing planned? Or is it already available and just not visible for users that don't belong to the group?

I'm just curious how many users are already translating to German.
I would probably apply if it's a small number, but I'd pass if you already have enough.
Btw: He deleted everything when he left? What a jerk.

IIRC our previous group lacks German translator. Actually, right now we're lacking everything XD
It's okay if we have more translators, it would put less of a burden on everyone. Well, hopefully.
He did say he was leaving, that he can't maintain the group anymore. When I volunteered myself I did told him to keep the registration form and group info. Maybe he was too busy with something, I dunno

I doubt any dev is interested in Arabic translations, lol. Hard to implement (Right to left writing) plus small target audience.

It's fine. Contrary to popular beliefs, real life is more important :P
Actually you don't have to allocate a large chunk of your time to translate. I plan to make a larger team for those who may be busy most of the time. So if everyone does their part, the end result would be the same anyway.

Eyup. Some indie devs want to tap into a winder audience but couldn't afford to hire a proper localization team. So that's where we'll come in. We don't have some of the certified translator thingy and yada yada, but since it's our native language, it should suffice. Besides, they're always free to send the translation to a proper team once they can afford to.

If anything comes up for Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian, contact me via Steam and I'll see if I can help up. Other than that, won't apply since I really can be 100% if I can do this at the time (I'm full time undergraduate student right now and next few months will be crucial for me so... maybe during the summer I can be of more help).

Heya everyone.
From the title, some of you might recall seeing something similar last year. Well, the previous leader had to leave since he couldn't maintain the group anymore. I don't want the group to just disappear like that, so I volunteered to manage everything.
Basically, Greenlight Translator is a bunch of bilingual gamers who volunteer to do translations for games that they like.
You can get more info on the group page I linked above.
Feel free to ask anything.
Accepting new application again. Read update 2 and 5
Here's the form if you're interested
update 1: Received about 65 volunteers now. Gonna process them first and determine what language requires more volunteer. So form is closed
update 2: We've reached full capacity for Russian and German translator. You can still apply, but I can't guarantee the existing team will accept you.
update 3: Now accepting new translators again. Also, list of current translators
update 4: sorry, previous greenlight link didn't work. We changed the group link but I forgot to update them here.
update 5: Spanish is also full now.
