Would you want to contribute to the London Underground network?
I can see a problem with multiple contributors having different blacklists etc - with literally tens if not hundreds of contributors you expect to participate the chances that some of them have you blacklisted rise by a significant amount. And with trains - just one GA you cannot see means you cannot progress anymore.

The Tube is pretty well connected though. Unless you're, saying, travelling on the Northern line and hit a blacklist at Mornington Crescent -- you'd be unable to get to Finchley Central.
There's not really a solution to this, though, other than asking people to not have a blacklist (?, probably not) or replacing problematic stations if lots of people are hitting the blacklist there as part of maintenance. You can't really guarantee that nobody will ever hit a blacklist. At best you could maybe put people with blacklists far away from the center (if they're willing to volunteer their blacklist count); not being able to get to some edges wouldn't be a big problem.
FWIW, the entire Bakerloo line will be clear of blacklisting and level requirements alike, since I manage all the GAs on it, with kind permission from Grand Rail Coordinator Per3zat. *adjusts conductor cap*

Nudie ^^ pretty much says everything I was planning to say. I don't have a blacklist (or rather, it's empty) and I might cover a few critical spots besides the starting station. Asking people to empty their blacklists (and them actually doing it) is almost as impossible as forcefully rearranging GAs of people with heavily loaded blacklists to the outer zones...

Just bumping.
May you have a lot of contributors, helping you with this awesome event :D

Awesome idea. I think I'd be willing to contribute some games, probably mainly bundled games at this stage. I'm able to create something like 150 giveaways now. :) Let me know if you still need volunteers.

Hey, one of the biggest hassles for me is to get myself to organize my GAs, i.e. find a reason to make some, decide what to do, connect them if it's meant to be a train, so I would be quite willing to dump quite a few of my games collecting dust... :-)

if you still need some stations i can offer some games ( atm not more then 17 as i´m using the rest of my slots for some GA´s).

Update: closed, as the sign-up thread is now live.
Apparently trains have become quite popular here since I created my first one 18 months ago... so let's take this train business up one level, shall we? Without further ado, let me present
Let's Train: London Underground "Mind the Gap" edition
Instead of a single train, let's create 11 trains, one for each line of the the London Underground, with a total of 355 giveaways! Yes indeed, London Underground is one of the world's biggest metro train systems :-)
Wait, what?
I would like to recreate the London Underground network of 11 lines and 270 stations as a community giveaway train network on Steamgifts. Every station (giveaway) is mapped to one of the lines, and links to the previous and next station, as well as to all other lines that stop in the same station (we will have multiple GAs for stations that share multiple lines). That way we end up with 355 GAs required for the complete London Underground network. Once we have the London Underground network setup I'll publish the Kings Cross St. Pancras station GA (6 lines going through here!) in the forum, and people can travel from there to all the underground stations...
Call for help
Unfortunately I can only make 100 GAs at a time, meaning I need help from you folks! We need 255 additional contributors who can take over 1 station each. Or fewer contributors, if some end up owning more than one station :-) However from these numbers alone it's clear I will also need help managing the event! This is why I'm looking for volunteers to help me with the logistics of the event. Volunteers will manage a train line, i.e. collect the required info from the contributors and tell them what information they have to add to their GAs. There will be a Steam group to coordinate this effort, and I'll make a few nice GAs for all volunteers and top contributors once the event is over. Let me know in the comments below if you'd like to help, or have any questions to ask first.
Timing
GA requirements
GA should all be made private, with no region restrictions, and end at the same day in October (to be announced, do not create any GAs just yet!). Other than that I don't think we should have any rules concerning GAs. Contributors can choose what game to give away, what level to require, who to blacklist, etc. Oh, and here's a Mini Metro to get you started!
FAQ
Q: Are cheap games / bundles OK? A: Of course, all games are welcome!
Q: Can I choose my stations?" A: Yes, I'll have sign-up forms ready for the 2nd step. If somebody wanted to own an entire line that should also be possible (let me know before the 2nd week)
Q: How to get in touch with you? A: in Let's Train group chat steam://friends/joinchat/103582791439692202
TL;DR
I'm looking for volunteers to help me run this event. Read the sections above if you're interested.
