Would you want to contribute to the London Underground network?
That's cool, I'll make 5+ GAs ^^
But I don't understand, why 355 GAs if there are 270 stations ?

Heya TJ, you gotta be quick when the sign-up opens, I see many eager gifters around here! ;-)
There are more GAs than London Underground stops because if there are multiple lines hitting a station, then every line will have its own giveaway at that station.
However I now think it's more like 370+ GAs we need to create, my initial numbers were a bit off because some of the stations were missing in my data. I'm glad to have found a some eager and experienced volunteers who help me get things right now!

Hi, really neat idea. I'd like to be in and throw a few giveaway to help.
About the stations i was thinking something like Monopoly, the most prestigious ones (i'm not sure which stations are the most famous in London though) would need to be a giveaway above a certain price/points?
Imagine if Buckingham Palace station is Bad Rat, and the worst station happen to be Mad Max?
Just a suggestion. Anyway you can add me on Steam, cheers mate.

This sounds like an ambitious but very cool idea. I'd be willing to help out with at least one if not a few more stops if needed.

Soon enough we'll have the world network of international airports at this rate.

How in the world did I miss this topic? This sounds really epic! I definitely want to chip in some giveaways and would have even powered a whole line if it had not too many stops, but I fear I'm a bit late. Same goes for the organizing stuff. I might have helped a bit there but don't know if you're not already too many.
If you should end up with almost twice the amount of giveaways, here's an additional map

We're looking for a final volunteer to help run the Central line, are you interested?
Volunteers get first dibs on GAs in their line, and are responsible to enter GAs on their line into our private spreadsheet and in turn tell the GA creators what to write into the GA description.
We create all the descriptions automatically, so basically this means volunteers have to be in Steam chat once in a while so that GA creators can get in touch to tell the GA link, and later on volunteers will reach out to the GA creators again to tell them the description (2nd half of next week).

Update: closed, as the sign-up thread is now live.
Apparently trains have become quite popular here since I created my first one 18 months ago... so let's take this train business up one level, shall we? Without further ado, let me present
Let's Train: London Underground "Mind the Gap" edition
Instead of a single train, let's create 11 trains, one for each line of the the London Underground, with a total of 355 giveaways! Yes indeed, London Underground is one of the world's biggest metro train systems :-)
Wait, what?
I would like to recreate the London Underground network of 11 lines and 270 stations as a community giveaway train network on Steamgifts. Every station (giveaway) is mapped to one of the lines, and links to the previous and next station, as well as to all other lines that stop in the same station (we will have multiple GAs for stations that share multiple lines). That way we end up with 355 GAs required for the complete London Underground network. Once we have the London Underground network setup I'll publish the Kings Cross St. Pancras station GA (6 lines going through here!) in the forum, and people can travel from there to all the underground stations...
Call for help
Unfortunately I can only make 100 GAs at a time, meaning I need help from you folks! We need 255 additional contributors who can take over 1 station each. Or fewer contributors, if some end up owning more than one station :-) However from these numbers alone it's clear I will also need help managing the event! This is why I'm looking for volunteers to help me with the logistics of the event. Volunteers will manage a train line, i.e. collect the required info from the contributors and tell them what information they have to add to their GAs. There will be a Steam group to coordinate this effort, and I'll make a few nice GAs for all volunteers and top contributors once the event is over. Let me know in the comments below if you'd like to help, or have any questions to ask first.
Timing
GA requirements
GA should all be made private, with no region restrictions, and end at the same day in October (to be announced, do not create any GAs just yet!). Other than that I don't think we should have any rules concerning GAs. Contributors can choose what game to give away, what level to require, who to blacklist, etc. Oh, and here's a Mini Metro to get you started!
FAQ
Q: Are cheap games / bundles OK? A: Of course, all games are welcome!
Q: Can I choose my stations?" A: Yes, I'll have sign-up forms ready for the 2nd step. If somebody wanted to own an entire line that should also be possible (let me know before the 2nd week)
Q: How to get in touch with you? A: in Let's Train group chat steam://friends/joinchat/103582791439692202
TL;DR
I'm looking for volunteers to help me run this event. Read the sections above if you're interested.
