I'll not use it when I am playing games or servers with VAC protection of course, will It risk my account?
Thanks in advance.

Idle master is getting old (due dev quit its development) and it is getting too much time to drop cards (use portable version).
I still use it as much as LOTS of users and I think that 99% of all users never had any problem.

Yes, it is safe to use. I would suggest you not to use it while playing in vac-protected servers though.

Yes it is safe, but to be sure do not enter any VAC secured servers while running it. ASF is somewhat better though.

ASF is 100% safe by design, as it stops farming when you start playing a game, and resumes doing it when you stop playing.
Also, it doesn't need the desktop version of the Steam client, as it has its own. It also works on Linux and Mac OS, unlike Idle Master.

As long as you don't run it while you're playing a VAC-enabled game (Team Fortress, etc) you should be fine.
I've never had any problems with it, and Valve has no reason to have a problem with it either. It brings them money, and it makes the users happy. Everyone wins.

How do I use it?

Idle Master? You download it, you log in, and you let it run in the background. It'll do it's job and you'll get cards. Very simple!

And ASF? it is asking for steam password and login.

Idle master will ask for that too.

You can't expect a program to be able to run your steam games without giving it access to your steam account.
