It will probably be as great as the new Sim City was, and have as much as DLCs as the last one had.

I loooooooooove TS2, I have all the expansions and probably nearing 10gb of custom content I've amassed over the years, but for many reasons I haven't yet tried TS3. I heard nothing but crap things about it really, and with all the extra stuff I have on my TS2 install it takes 15mins to load (I only have a laptop that isn't exactly great for gaming) and I fear that TS3 base game won't have enough stuff, and once I add enough stuff to make nice houses/sims my computer just won't be able to stand it. My partner wants to build me a PC which would be awesome, and if it happens I might give it a go, but til then it's really not even an option for me. Hopefully the maxis stuff/objects/clothes aren't butt ugly this time around.

  • THE SIMS 3 = Bad optimized and really really bugged.
  • SIMCITY '13= Very limited with a shitty online DRM.
  • THE SIMS 4 = SHELF.

Sorry EA, but it's simply the truth, you SU*K!

I could say the same thing about Aliens: Colonial Marines! Words cannot describe my hype for that game, or the look on my face when I found out how bad it was.

The number of "OMG, so exited!" comments in that source is... disturbing to say the least. Have people learned NOTHING?! O_o

To be fair, there are most likely several 12-20 something year old girls out there who only play the sims and think it's the best thing eva. They don't know what video games are, but they like the Sims.

The Sims is a videogame.

Reading that back, I should have worded it better. I wasn't trying to imply that it wasn't a video game, simply that it attracts a lot of people who don't really play games (if that makes more sense).

EDIT: World of Warcraft is another good example.

I know what you mean, in fact I knew it on the first place. I was just being stupid :p

I guess there's nothing wrong of people enojoying only a certain title or genre. It's their loss.

More along the lines of "Stop feeding EA's ego!" really. As long as there are people who jump the bait instantly, they'll keep hunting with bad bait... hm, what a horribly worded metaphor that was.

EDIT: Just to clarify- what I mean is all that article says is that there's a new Sims coming while mentioning how many sales the franchise has sold. That's it. They have said nothing about the game, yet people are already hyped. That pretty much lets EA go wherever they want with it because they think people only care for it to be a Sims game.
