I didn't really start gaming until I was like 12 or so. My first games were Grand Theft Auto, GTA 2, GTA 3, A2 Racers (I think it's a dutch game) and Call of Duty (the first one).

If "a kid" counts like from agr 6 to 12 i played just one game but it was great.
An open world game called "Outside with friends", the technics where impressive, no loading screens no matter if you went to the park, the lake, home, back outside again. The colors and the resolution made it look phantastic and it had full move controll already.
Goof old times 1978 to 1984.

Hehe my first computer was a C-64 then at the age of 15, loved Bards Tale 1 and 2 the most, oh and Pirates.

A lot of games on Amiga 500, like The chaos Engine, Turrican, Cannon Fodderm, Super Frog, Syndicate, Pac-Mania and many more. :)

I know, I know...who would do that? Well, I had a Gameboy though, so Pokemon, Mario and stuff and the first PC game I had was 'The Fifth Element', shortly followed by Star Wars Rogue Squadron.

I grew up without game consoles and, for many years, with old PCs that weren't used for gaming. But we played a ton of those old handheld games like the ones Tiger used to produce. Remember those? Specifically, we had a pinball game that was actually pretty good.

Computer games wise, Commander Keen and Chex Quest were the ones we probably had longest. Oh, and an old Mac game called Crystal Quest. And then we played a ton of board and card games.

I had SNES and Sega mega drive

Their cartridges weren't cheap those days so my option mostly was multiple-game cartridges.

Nintendo emulators.

First game I launched when we got our first computer was Scorched Earth. Some other games I had on that PC were Doom, Tunneler, Crystal Caves, Covert Action, Prince of Persia, Pipe Mania, Lemmings, Gobliins, War for the Middle Earth, Grand Prix Circuit, Test Drive 2 I think, ...

Pac-Man, Galaga, Gradius, Maze of Galious, original Elite, Zork, Zaxxon....
