From my understanding, they always start 'big' daily things at 2 AM (from EU perspective).
Since they don't have regional key pools, US users and wordwide people who don't work (at least on classic hours) usually take all. The only time I got something from the "vault" was because I was on holidays, on the PC at 2 AM. Keys were depleted by 2:03 AM.

Every major event starts at 00:00 UTC which seems a logical choice to me. Exceptions occur when someone at AWA wants to shift the balance in favor of NA members or isn't able to count to 24.

This War of Mine: Final Cut is the definitive remastered edition of the game, containing all free updates and expansions released to date. Not only does it introduce a new stage, but it expands the existing ones with the known locations of the DLC Stories (even if you don't have them)
It's the base game with some locations unlocked from the dlcs, but the dlcs themselves don't include them.

Yup. I like how they know precisely how many active users they have, yet they manage to be out-of-stock 1h into the planned giveway... Why they don't either get some more keys or put a level restriction on this is a mystery. And apparently they'd rather ban my datacenter IP than ban actual abuser proxies. Beat Cop was the first giveaway, so:
- it popped at a different time, in the middle of the evening instead of at 2 AM where I live,
- it was unexpected so hoarders had not set up their bots/scripts.
If you check comments, you will see that keys for TWoM were available starting at 2:00 AM and were out of stock before 2:30 AM.
A priori, this was much faster than for yesterday's giveaway (2:00 AM - 3:30 AM). The more days, the faster, because:
- more people get to learn about the giveaway,
- hoarders optimize their scripts to redeem more codes and to do so faster.

I find it very sad that i am on the site many hrs before the day of the giveaway starts and it said "all out!!" How can it be all out if the giveaway hadn't started yet? WTF?? I'm in North America :(

That kind of behavious is emblematic for why I stopped sharing games here on SteamGifts.
There's many cool people here on SG but the armies of It's free-Zombies are so countless unless you take very complicated precautions your game goes to the right person you might as well print your keys on a sheet of paper and set them on fire.

I don't think these people care about how pathetic it looks to Westerners if it feeds them. For people in poorer countries it can be a job or at least considerable supplemental income just like farming items in MMOs and so on. I don't like it but it's way more understandable trying to make money off of free keys than taking several just to then gift them away here to stroke your ego.

While it is true that in this case it's somebody from South America I've seen people from Germany, France, England, Spain, Portugal, heck even Austria (despite there being so few of us) do exactly the same thing.
So I don't think it's a cultural thing but rather people not valuing themselves and their time properly. Also I would assume that every single one of their potential customers is completely aware where those keys came from and that they were aquired for free so I strongly doubt they have any chance to get 0,5 keys for each but rather 6 - 9 Trading cards which are a pain in the ass to turn into Steam wallet or even cash unless you don't mind paying up to 33% in fees.

Not everyone is well off in the developed countries either. Of course it might be that they just don't value their time but they could be disabled, a teenager looking for some spare money or whatever. Users on beermoney sites aren't all from poor countries either even though those also pay a pittance compared to the time investment.
I don't think the source matters. Well, it does but only insofar how much the giveaway craters the game's price on the grey market. These multiaccounters either sell their keys in keyshops themselves or sell/trade them to resellers who in turn do so. You can expect to get about a third to a half of the game's grey market value from resellers. (Ofc this varies depending on how well known and easy to move the game is.)
