Have you try spending time solving puzzles in the discussions? I have try to solve all the puzzles where I can, this really help with the ratio.
If you didn't spend time trying to solve them, then don't expect to win against those with over 1000+ entries, your chances are just less than 0.1% (do the math yourself).
Also, the puzzle are fun!
On the part you feel like you are giving more than you receive, all you did was just grab a few giveaway from another site and post them here, while others can do the same to get the free games by checking the page. (https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/EhJvw/where-are-those-giveaways-coming-from)
If you read the FAQ, you will understand, you are not getting any CV to level up on them. Leveling up also help chance of getting into higher tier giveaways.
If you read thru all these and still think this is shitty, then please leave, SG is not for you and stay with those other sites.

Simply giving things away doesn't increase your chances of winning. Your chances increase once you get access to higher levels, because there's less competition. You haven't reached a higher level yet, because the games you've given away are, from SG's perspective, worthless.

so you get free trash from other "giveaways" where you need to to certain tasks and expect to just randomly get real games here when giving nothing of value? first of all you dont give something to expect something in return you just give what you like to give and as for entering giveaways, everyone has equal chance to win you dont get more chance if you do giveaways yourself that would mean that the rich people here that gives tons away would win everything and everyone else nothing lol

If you invest in the site in a more tangible way, you'll get access to better GAs with better odds. It'll also make you eligible to join exclusive groups which have giveaways targeted at a much smaller group of people, which dramatically increases your odds.
