This is a great site, but it has it's flaws or just things that are pet peeves to us.

Mine would have to be people who create 5+ giveaways at the same time and have them all be contributor only.

Sometimes the community can be good..

Most of the time the community isn't.

I like how your avatar works with your post there. Just throwing it out there.

To be fair, the community can be pretty antagonistic.

This whole site is built around the community. People give away games to other people for free. Steamgifts' core idea is generosity. I don't know what you're talking about. This is one of the best online communities I've seen.

Clearly you don't spend much time in other communities then. Where there's public generosity, there's plenty of people looking to exploit that generosity. Plenty of bad people.

You've won three games and only given $32.

I had given away over $100 before I won anything.

Don't give away games for the wrong reason, be happy with what you have and what you give.

You've only entered just over 200 giveaways... On average lets say there are 600 entries per competition. That means you normally have to enter 600 of those before you may win.

The giveaways are COMPLETELY random. Contributing lets you enter a few other giveaways. But that's about it.

When i create a dlc giveaway (which somehow has a bug so everybody can enter) and i get at least 100-150 retards entering without having the base game

I'm mostly okay with SteamGifts aside from the obvious things like bugs and fake giveaways, though for some reason it really annoys me when I see someone replying to the first person who commented just to say THANKS in a large font. I'm pretty sure it's done because they hope that if the gifter sees their comment, they'll like the thank you and give them some kind of special consideration, which is silly, since the gifter has no influence whatsoever on the random number generator.

People who enter said game giveaway not because they want to play it, but just to reduce chances of those who would really like to get certain titles. Then they win it and either not play ever or give away further to get contribtuion up etc.

I'm sitting on 300, or close to) amount of points for like 80% of my time. I'm only entering like few titles only at any given time.
Ghost Master, Skyrim - those are two main games I want at the moment.

I enter for every game that may interest me. I will almost certainly play the games at some point (in the close future). But I do enter a lot of giveaways in one go.

Look at every A-hole who wins in a big developer giveaway, then never adds the game to their library or even attempts to regift it. Regardless of intent, the end result is the same.

entering a giveaway of 5 items costs 5 times cheaper, than entering 5 giveawas of single same game,
game filtering is not implemenated into the site and depends on some plugin.
DLCs are hardly checked to be on my account..

I agree with the multiple copy thing. However, if it was the way you mean, there would be no contributor giveaways / 5+ copies of Skyrim etc.

I would love it to be this way: once you enter one giveaway of Skyrim, you may enter any other giveaway of Skyrim for free, until there is no more Skyrim giveaways, with your entry. That does not really work for Skyrim most of the time, but if you want to win a game from some bundle, and there are dozens of giveaways for it, you may spend your points once and have all the chances. Yet you have to know the link for private giveaways, be a part of a group for group ones and have enoug contribution for contributor's.
Also it is possible to lower contributor's value, achieved by making the giveaway of something, there is dozens around steamgifts. Hence, once there is some way to get a game ubercheap or free, you'll recieve much less contribution value, than someone, gifting a random copy of Skyrim.

i.e. i don't really like a list of exploited games to limit contributor's value. it should just be somehow divided among all the gifters of the same thing. If i'm the only one gifting Skyrim today, i get the full contributor's value for it, but if there are like 10 giveawas of Skyrim today, there is certainly some bargain for it and I should probbably get a half of that value or something like that. If there are 100 giveaways of Tom, the virus, i should probbably get no more than one point of contribution. Not sure about exact formula, but that can be counted automatically both for past and future giveaways without a need to have an exploited games list.
