Hello good folk of SG,

I am pretty new here but i am impressed already by this website. So i realised that i still haven't used that whitelist feature. I hope this can change. I don't really know if there is max limit to it but i will try to keep it at a reasonable size so everyone gets descent chances of winning. If you are interested in getting on my WL, just post a comment and i will add you. The only criterion i'll be using when adding is to have more gifts sent than won. However i don't really care for real value. Of course if you gift an AAA game, that's awesome! But if you gift a 1$ game that's great too! In this era of greed, giving away games is truely outstanding and that's why i am amazed by SG. Also different countries mean different currencies, different standards and systems etc. i am by no means rich but will definitely try to do GAs whenever i can. If you want, you can add me on steam as well.

And also off-topic of this off-topic discussion, as an avid film lover, what's your favorite film of 2015? Mine is Mad Max, seen it 3 times at the cinema. :P

Not looking for whitelist, but my favorite film this year was Mad Max (huge Tom Hardy fan).
That guy can make any role epic. XD
except Bane -_-

On its own Nolan's Bane is almost as cool as real Bane, my problem was making him the side villain, that was lame
Have you ever seen Tom Hardy's old MySpace account, its glorious

Welcome aboard! :)

Favorite movie of 2015?........Well, I don't go to the theater, so it's limited to those that were already out of DVD, but I really can't think of any movies this past year that I thought were truly outstanding. I suppose the ones I enjoyed the most include the Avengers movies, Tomorrowland, and Furious 7.

Thank you!. :)
Furious and Avengers are good movies indeed. As for Tomorrowland, i didn't watch it as many guys around me advised me not to. xD So it's an entertaining movie? I'll give it a shot. :)

I thought the main appeal of Furious 7 and the newest Avengers movies was simply that they were continuations of really good stories. These specific movies on their own weren't phenomenal, but if you like the series, they do a great job of continuing the stories.

I can enjoy teen-oriented movies, maybe because i have kids, but I think your mileage with Tomorrowland will depend on your tastes. I'd say it's similar to Maze Runner, Divergent, and maybe Cloud Atlas, but a little more upbeat than any of those, which was a welcome change. It's not ground-breaking, and the target audience is definitely more on the teen side, but I thought it was entertaining.

Hello, am interested in joining :) As to movie I didn't really get to see many new ones, main ones I can think about are Inside Out and Big hero 6 which I did quite enjoy. Would love to see Mad Max and Star Wars though.

Edit: Oh I did see Furious 7 as well and I love the Fast and Furious franchise.

Good choices. I am yet to see Inside Out. Big Hero 6 was rather well made. Mad Max and SW are a must see, in my opinion.

You really liked that one? Despite good choice for the main role i think the movie sucked in every other aspect. I find the Olyphant's one better even though it was bad as well. xD Let's hope a new game will be awesome though! :D

Movies eh
Mad Max was good, Star Wars was better than expected, Spectre was a disappointment, Furious 7 was alright, Martian was nice, Avenger Age of Ultron was too much rushed, Ant-Man was alright, Terminator genisys was ok not bad not good, Ex Machine was nice, Insurgent was meh and Pan was ok i guess. damm I actually watched a lot of movies eventhough i'm more of a tv-series guy than movie guy.

I completely agree with you. And i don't really understand why everyone hated Pan, both the viewers and the critics. It has some really nice visuals.
Yeah, i consider myself to be one as well atm. :)

As for 2015 films, I really liked Bridge of Spies. Runners up go to Inside Out and Ex Machina.

I thought Mad Max was superbly dull. It was an extended car chase.
I just watched 'The Big Short' though, and thought it was a cracker. It's like the All the President's Men of the 2008 financial collapse.

I respect your opinion. :)
I expected a lot more from The Big Short but in the end i found it rather boring and unconvincing. And of course if you don't have some basic knowledge in economics you cannot watch it so that's a big minus. i think Inside Job did much better job.

Hah. I totally forgot this was even a whitelist thread. Thanks though.
Yeah, a lot of people gave The Big Short very average ratings. But hey, different strokes for different folks.
I'm sure I could have come up with some more variety, but I haven't been watching many movies this past year. I suspect I'll catch up at some point.

I didn't see as many new films as I would have liked in 2015, unfortunately, but I still saw some great ones. Mad Max was very fun (usually I don't like car chases, but it stayed interesting to me despite basically being one big one), but my favorite of 2015 was Kingsman. Turned out to be one of my favorite movies ever, actually.

Oh yes, Kingsman was great. i went to the cinema expecting Cody Banks like movie but got so much more. Truly an epic movie. Much better than Spectre. Thanks for reminding me.

I really enjoyed Mad Max, but Ant Man was awesome too. Though while I'm going to see Star Wars on Sunday, and its 2016, technically It was released in 2015 and I have a feeling it will be my top movie of 2015.

Thank you, happy holidays & happy new year! :)

I really liked Ex Machina, even though the end was predictable; a nice alternative viewpoint from Her. Dope was fun too, especially since I'm a bitcoin enthusiast.

Hi, you don't have to whitelist me, I'm just here for the conversation :)

So, this came out in 2012 but it was probably the most interesting film I watched in 2015:

As far as Hollywood stuff, Episode VII was a pretty thrilling event... hadn't been that excited for a theatrical release in a long, long time.

I came across it while browsing Netflix (USA subscription) one day. I believe it's still up on Netflix USA, in case you have a subscription. If you are interested in philosophical films and have an open mind and are ok with highly experimental film techniques, the film is very much the $8.99 price at vimeo in my opinion -- especially since you get it as a full HD DRM-Free download or streaming anytime on demand.
