Why you need i5? You make video? Or may be some graphic work?

Open some PC magazine and buy most expensive PC.

"Why you need i5?"
Because moderna games can be very CPU reliant and you need a fast multi-core CPU to get the most out of them. And the i5 is about the best you're going to get in that capacity. There are better CPUs of course, but most of the features they have over the i5 don't really have much effect on it's gaming capabilities.

So... if not an i5, what would YOU recommend instead? If you're going to criticize someone's decision, offer up your alternative instead of just sounding like a jerk.

It's sounds like - buy potato today(then farmers don't get from their plant but will do it tomorrow) and pay additional 50$.(Tomorrow farmers will sell it more cheaper)

$300 USD ( I don't know what that converts to in Euros) for a fairly rock solid foundation to build a gaming PC.

I say go get a AMD FX-6300, price wise it should be around 130€ or a FX-8320 .
Sadly there are no good mobos for 40€ not even bad ones. So you'll have to spend at least 90€ in a Asrock 970 Extreme 4, other options are Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 AM3+ or MSI 970A-G46 AM3+
