How do you like your steak done? [GA Ended]

Rare nearly all the time.

The one time I'll make an exception to that is when it's cooked over charcoal where sometimes I like to go for well done. I like the smokey flavour and you get more of that taste the longer it's cooked, but even then I probably have more rare ones cooked like that. The vast majority of steaks I've cooked have been on the gas stove where it's rare every time.

Now you made my mouth water. Haven't had any steak for ages.

Medium rare!

Medium rare. Just a wee bit of pink, don't overdo it.

Made into tiny strips, with cheese, bell peppers and bacon. It's called Alambre.

Medium rare (closer to rare works for me too) with a nice glass of red wine. Mmmmmmm.

I don't eat steak. I'm a vegetarian. When I was a meat-eater I didn't like steak.

I always ask for rare, and when they invariably overcook it, the worst it ends up is medium rare.

Well, mostly medium, maybe MW. But i usually don't eat steaks outside. Most places don't know how to do it...

I prefer well done. Where I live it is not recommended other way, although if I'll happen to visit some steak place, where I trust the quality of meat, I might try something medium or medium rare.

I used to like them over-done (almost burned), but now I like them medium-well and well-done. I don't like when they're dry though, I like them soft.

It seems like some people think that it's impossible for a steak to turn out nice and soft if it's well-done but it's definitely possible. You just need a decent quality meat and prepare it right.
