One more thing to know about the GOG versions: those versions are working fine on modern operating systems starting from win XP and ending with Win 8.1 ( original games were released for DOS/win95/win98 ). Steam version has some issues with the modern systems. So the GOG version is the ultimate version for the old Fallout games. Also do not forget to pick the Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.2 from NMA-Fallout - something to add after you play at least once vanilla Fo2.

Why do they value DRM more than income based on their GOG sales is beyond me, but thankfully I own them on both platforms already. This is kinda shitty from auntie Beth, and good on GOG to do this.

Because there are no Steam keys to give from this deal, no, it's not

Clicky.They're having a winter sale.
[EDIT] Qoute from zimmer550:
This is your last chance to get the original Fallout games, DRM free. Bethesda won in court the publishing rights for the old Fallout games and asked GOG to remove the games from the shop. As a result we have this massive GA as a big FU for Bethesda. The old Fallout games might remain for sale on Steam, with the Steam activation, but won't remain available for sale on GOG ( DRM free ).
And no: the old games don't have achievements or cards:P
So get this chance to add to your collection a version that doesn't require an activation, serial number and such. Games bought ( gifted ) before rights reverting to Bethesda will remain in your account.
