This. It's either cheaper to buy the game you want yourself, or if you find a way to game the system and make it so it's not cheaper, everyone here will hate you. Just give what you want to away, when you want to. Makes you happier for not feeling entitled to win big giveaways, and it makes everyone else happier since they see genuine giveaways.

But most of those groups require a monthly giveaway, so what's the point of joinin a giveaway group if you have to pay to get in?

If you want to make it really be worth, then you'll need $1000+ CV, otherwise it wont make a really big difference

i wanna join these groups, but i always get told to f off

Or maybe people from those groups are tired of being added on Steam by people begging for invites to certain groups. Or just begging in general. Hell, people add ME to ask if they can enter some of groups I'm in and I'm not even a mod in any of them.

Yes. CV is the only thing that matters in life, and when you die the afterlife you go to will be determined by your CV. (Anyone who died before SteamGifts was founded went to hell automatically because they didn't have a CV; sad but true.)

"but it seems like buying games on sale is much cheaper then investing in CV"
Nah, you got this part wrong. Buying games on sale and then giving them away is the cheapest way to invest in CV. CV goes by liste store price, not by what you actually paid.
The point with many "small-ish" games is that they've often already have been bundled, so they're not good choices if you actually care about CV.

I look at it this way, if something I give away makes someone day better that's all that matters. Seeing that little green bar can make someones bad day a good one.

What do you think? It seems like some might feel obsessed with their CV, while others feel OK with zero.
As for me, I'd like to raise the number, but it seems like buying games on sale is much cheaper then investing in CV. Plus I've got a huge backlog already and can't enter many giveaways because I already have them, so I might concentrate on giving something small-ish away every now and then instead ;)
Thanks in advance for your replies :)
