On the very last one. Can't seem to find the exact source so now I have to trawl through various sources to find an approximation of the right answer. I really hope it's not too specific.

Not very specific, it could be less, but it could be more. The source may be the same of the map, if you recognize it. (Assuming we're talking about the same thing)
Edit: we weren't talking about the same thing. As said in the OP, you should take as a reference the 1st picture in the english wikipedia page.

Meanwhile I thought the answer was very clear with no room for ambiguity. And yet clearly I'm wrong.
Not sure what other direction I should be going for that could be specific or not, or what is there to approximate.
That said, I did try the surroundings too, but was feeling I'm not doing this right.

For the 2nd puzzle I used the 1st picture on its English wikipedia page as a reference (I'm not talking about the map).
