Another thread, another rule broken. No calling out.
EDIT: Thread was originally calling him out.

Do you think he was trying to scam me?

Yes, especially considering his (+2/-0). But read the FAQ. No calling out.

I changed the thread so it's not calling out but instead asking if he was scamming me.

Still rather sketchy and I don't know how the mods will react, but it's up to you.

Edit the pictures and dunno, dark out the names. But without it's quite meaningless to post. btw okay, I get it: no calling out, but you can't even warn about somebody being shady? :\

As you said yourself I'm warning people about someone being shady. It's not meaningless.

Sorry, I wasn't exactly aiming you with it. But isn't it a little meaningless rule, when all you can say "somebody tried to scam me" but you can't tell, who it was, because it's against the rulesto actually name the scammer?

Because there's such a huge difference. You're effectively tarnishing his reputation, which is exactly why mods don't want people calling out.

In my opinion, every trader, who has a good rep, know how to spell correctly. He was using shortenings, and had much grammar errors. With +2/-0 he probably is, but everybody has to start somewhere, so until he hasN't got negative rep, I can't say it from reputation.

Well if he is getting key from his "friend" and his "friend" doesn't trust him enough to give him key first eh well that says it all.

I think you might want to read the FAQ at least once. Specifically the part about Please do not call out users in the forum or chat. Edit pictures or chat logs so the clown's name and picture are gone.

But to answer the edited question, i.e. random guy asking for stuff, saying he will give you something later... Unless you enjoy trolling scammers don't waste your time talking to him just block and move on. :)

Gotta give you something - completely ignoring two major contributors bluntly telling you that you're breaking the rules takes balls and a whooole lot of empty.

Yeah, that guy was definitely trying to scam you. That "deal" the guy was offering was either not gonna happen, or it had to be illegal somewhere down the line.
