Also Machinarium is good, Botanicula. The remake of Monkey Island is around too, Sam & Max, Syberia, Broken Sword.

Syberia, Syberia 2 and the Broken Sword Trilogy are a good place to start

You might want to have a look at the Space Quest Collection too. Store page

LucasArts adventure pack, Monkey Island 1&2 (my favourite game series) and the longest journey would likely be your best choices.

That's what I can recommend so far. If he wants the retro ones, LucasArts, Wadjet and (some) Telltale games should be his main options ;)

Monkey island 1+2 - these are 2 of my all time favourite games! The 3rd one is stil good, but the 4th feels like it is milking the series (3 +4 were made by a different team to 1+2)
Tales of Monkey Island - nothing to do with lucasarts, apparently they are very good!
Broken Sword series - 1 and 2 are some of my favourite games. 3 is still good, i havnt played 4 yet.
Indiana Jones and the fate of atlantis - another of my favourite games.
Indiana Jones and the last crusade - the predecessor to fate of atlantis
The Dig - ive played this a few times and it definitely feels like a good classic, but i have never got to the end.
Sam & Max series or the original if you can find it. Amazing!
Gemini Rue - i own it, but never played
Syberia - own it, but not played yet
Grim Fandango - Apparently amazing, but ive never been able to make my CD version work :(
Day of the Tenticle - a classic of the genre
Flight of the Amazon Queen - an older one i have never played, but have heard lots of good things about
try GOG for lots of older games
Beneeth a Steel Sky - free from GOG, and a classic!
You could always wait for the new Double Fine adventure game. Being made by a team involving Ron Gilbert (the mastermind behind monkey island 1+2 and day of the tenticle)
A lot of these games outside steam might need ScummVM to work

Hello. My older brother likes old(er) point and click games. I was wondering if there were any like those on Steam.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I can see some people are suggesting titles like Deponia and Botanicula. I apologize for my wording, I actually meant if there are actual old point and click games on Steam. Not new ones LIKE-like those.
