Portal 1 Vs Portal 2

Portal 2 is better

Portal 2 is WAY better. It's longer, with a better story and puzzles more developed. What is more it also provides workshop and Co-Op, so the 2-3 hours at the very best you could squeeze out of Portal 1 can easily become ten times or so this time.

Having said that, is this week the YvsX week?

If it's so I want to jump on the bandwagon too. :3

Which is better, oranges or monkeys?

First I played Portal 2, after Portal, the difference is very big, Portal 2 is a "galactic" better :D in all specs.

i think if you played portal 1 without knowing anything about it first... and you go in thinking it is just a weird puzzle game, then it is the better one. even if that experience is a one-time thing, it still makes it unique. but, the first feels a lot like a beta version of the second one. i think it's really hard to compare them. :S

Portal 2, have more challenging puzzles, co-op is just awesome...

I prefer 1's 'story mode', but multiplayer mode in 2 beats both Portal 1 and SP of Portal 2.

I saw lots of reviews that described it something like this: Portal was just a test demo, Portal 2 is the completed game.

I think portal 1 is better.

The story actually had me in the first one.
Portal2 was good, but I had not that feeling like in portal 1...

That's not really a question.. Portal 2 is better in every aspect.. mostly because Valve wanted to make that an actual game, as opposed to Portal 1 which was just a little side project.

Portal is a weird thing though, it's "magical" the first time you play it, and it loses some of that magic the longer you play it, if you started with the first one(which you should) then there is a good chance that you are not as blown away by the second as you were by the first one, even though the second does everything objectively better.

Portal 2 - because of the way Chell died.
