Actually the answer is really simple and there's no sense to be mean, there are actually 217633 members (not all are active but anyway...)participating in giveaways. Look at me, almost 3000 entries and 3 wins, you have to keep trying. Cheers up man!

Took me over 1000 to get a win, and I've seen people with over 3000 entries without a win. And they at least did stuff like donate and comment.

Because that is how random draws work? I've got 578 closed entries, with no wins. That's just the luck.
But if you want advice:
1) Look at the competition. The odds are going to be against you no matter what, but you've got a better chance to win a 200 person giveaway than you have to win a 6,000 person giveaway. This doesn't matter so much in a period where points are generated rapidly. But when things slow down, you only have a few points to spare, and there are five or six games that you want roughly equally, it is worth considering.
2) Make friends and join groups. Group giveaways have fewer entries. If you join a group, then at least be a decent group member. I figure most groups don't want a leech who there just to win free games, and they surely don't want a troublemaker. (I'm not horribly social, and I don't do much in the way of online multiplayer, so I don't really benefit from this approach. I'd rather a group get a new member who's actually going to play the games that the group likes, and will...well...be more social than me.)
3) Try the forum puzzles. Like groups, this is a way to get into giveaways that have fewer entries, and thus less competition. Forum puzzles are infrequent, and range from relatively easy to annoyingly infuriating. Respect the rules, though.
4) The more entries you enter, the more chances you have to win. This is more important in point scarce times, but if the entrants are equal, you've got a better chance of getting at least one win if you enter 4 different 10 point giveaway than you have if you enter a single 40 point giveaway.
5) You can try contributing. Like groups and forum puzzles, contribution only giveaways have a smaller pool of people entering them. Just don't contribute $100 worth of games and then complain that you still aren't winning. The system is still luck, and spending money solely to find better odds to win is just... well, I'd probably violate some kind of forum posting rule if I said what it was.
*1) This is an anti-point. It won't help you win, and likely will reduce your chance of winning, but it is important. Don't get so caught up in the idea of winning that you start entering giveaways that you don't even care about. You don't really gain anything if you win a game that you aren't even going to play. You just take away someone else's chance to get it.
*2) Another anti-point. Don't overthink it. The odds are against you. You can break out a spreadsheet and min-max your point use and entries, but the gain isn't going to be worth the effort. If you really want a game, then take the long(er) shot risk. How much do you really want to play the slightly better chance to win a game that you only halfway care about versus the worse chance to win a game that you really want? I entered a Witcher 2 giveaway that ultimately had 8589 entries. I knew my chance to win was nearly zero. I've dropped out of giveaways that had a third of those entries. But, who knows. Maybe I'd be lucky

Don't worry about winning or losing. it's a free website, you're not losing anything. :)
I'm just thankful some cool guys are giving away stuff for free. I think that's what really counts.
