In the states, most networks list it as Central Standard Time, CST.

Even in the summer? In this instance, I was intentionally being pedantic ... I try not to get annoyed about it, but it can make appointments confusing, especially around the time changes. CST (UTC -6) is an hour off of CDT (UTC -5). CDT == EST
CST - notice the big warning, "Caution: This is NOT the current local time in most locations in that time zone"

It bothers me just as much as when people put an apostrophe when something obviously doesn't have any ownership rights and is instead plural (CPUs, GPUs, GAs, etc.). I say that because it's my problem, not yours :)
