Did you have issues with d2d keys?
You paid for the game, you got the game.
Problem solved.

Yea, but a game with no save sync, achievements, etc. Why include the invalid key then?

Tried it on steam and uplay only actually. Don't wanna download more clients, so just gonna wait for their response I guess. The site looks pretty legit, and it looks like it's the same family as Gamefly, IGN etc.

After reviewing multiple games on their site, the DRM type is listed directly at the top of the decription of every game, and if nothing at all is there, it's DRM free. (such as Rayman Origins).

Has anyone had any problems activating keys from direct2drive?
I bought a copy of Rayman Origins for $4.50 a few days ago, they provided me with installation files and a key (which I assumed to be a Uplay activation code, since I couldn't find any options related to key activation anywhere on D2D).
Anyway, the key didn't work on Uplay (why would it, obviously), and Ubisoft support told me the key was invalid. I just contacted d2d support, and they responded promptly with a pretty generic response (even though I had attached my conversation with Ubisoft in the ticket):
For Support for your activation:
If your game is a retail purchase and you see your key offered on your Purchase History page, that generally means your game is activated by the Publisher. Please contact the Publisher directly.
I just replied to them again, so here's to waiting for their next response. Their installer works fine, so I guess not all is lost, and I did end up with a DRM free copy (which would make some folks very happy); but I dont want to maintain a bunch of zip archives with installation files from various retailers, especially considering how often I reinstall my operating system.
