Is "Don't Starve" really that good?

It's a great game, i enjoy it a whole lot. Just waiting for new updates to chug out to play it more often.

Decide yourself, there is demo available. I have played it only little but it seemed nice.

Played it once. Enjoyed it a lot. Haven't played it since, because I want to wait for more updates. :p Even though I have barely scratched the top of it.

As suggested, give the demo a try. It was enough to suck me in, I ended up trading my way to a copy. There's more to it than a glance can tell you.

I just got a copy of it today, and it's not too bad. The art style and dialogue is very charming ("Go for the eyes!" attacks tree), and the gameplay lets me finally see why stuff like Minecraft is so popular (and yes, I'm one of the few poor souls who has yet to play Mojang's game). Like many people here are suggesting, try the demo first.

Bought it right after playing the demo on Chrome, it's very funny and has a great art style. In the first months it lacked anything resembling an endgame or even a purpose and it was really easy to hit a plateau after a few days playing. Right now the developers have introduced a lot of challeneges for the player and they're testing and adventure mode to satisfy those that don't like playing for too long with a sandbox. Try the demo, its style may not be for everyone, but it's a really nice game.

Won it from Rysix and raged over it for many hours :) It is very fun if you like survival sims, but it can be very frustrating at times :)

Oh, and free tickets to Cats would be awesome.

It's all fun and game until you mistook a torch as a shovel on your berry farm. Definitely worth a go

I've been trying to win it for a while. No luck so far, but I'll keep trying. ;)

For me it's one of those games that I probably won't spend money on, but would love to win.

I had my doubts at first, but once I got my hands on it I just kept playing for a lot of time, so addictive =P

Spent about 28 hours with it and it´s really fun =) It´s getting better and harder with every update. There´s no manual and you got to find out what are maybe "good" or "bad" ideas...you will die a lot until you get your own playstyle and survive, but if you make a little failure everything will be gone =)

1. Cats is one of the most awful things ever performed.

2. Don't Starve is a lot of fun. Most games aren't that fun in the long run, but it lasts nicely.
