New Regional Currencies coming to Steam

Regional currencies will be added today (in around 4 hours).

I'm waiting for the new currencies, do they usually go live at this time of day?

and nothing has changed for Egypt.I mean Windows store is full of issues but at least it supports our currency which makes the prices much more affordable. :3

I keep seeing my currency on Steam, but it goes away. Well at least we know they are trying to go update the store now lol

What's the point even in allowing native currency? Nothing changed in prices for Ukraine, so what was wrong with dollars... I want dollars back.

$1 = 26.5 uah. After a year it might be 30 for a dollar. So why the hell would I want my steam wallet to drop in price?

It just changed in Poland. Few games have really nice prices now, for example PUBG (29.99€ -> 72zł) and Factorio (20€ -> 50zł).

Lol for Poland. PUBG is really cheap(72zl vs 100zl on kingu) but other games on kingu/Allegro are cheaper way too much(PREY-60zl vs 180zl, Deus Ex:MD 45zl vs 219zl) xD

This is.... I'm from Israel and I have no idea why we have same prices as USA or Germany. If someone at Valve thinks we have same income here - LOL. It's like Poland and Germany if we will compare the income. Is it possible to purchase game and gift it to someone from another country? Does this update affected trading/gifting games again? And another question - what will happen if I will change in my Steam account settings country to USA? I really don't like to see prices in shekels, prefer $.

Here's a status report summary from Israel - this is BAD.

From going through tens of games on my wishlist I can conclude that price went up from anywhere of 5% to 33%!

A few examples:

• Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen from $30 to $40 -> 33% increase
• DOOM from $30 to $36 -> 20% increase
• Street Fighter V from $40 to $53.91 -> 24% increase.
• Dishonored 2 from $40 to ~$47 -> almost 20% increase
• Divinity: Original Sin 2 from $45 to $48 -> ~7% increase
• Middle-earth™: Shadow of War™ from $60 to $63 -> 5% increase

I think those are enough examples. You can add /?cc=il to the end any store link to get the exact price in israel curreny (ILS) and see for yourself.

Indie games seem to be priced almost the same but that's not a big comfort for a Triple A whore like me

Also some games can't even be sold right now at all. The worst for me is the 1st game on my wishlist -
METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN.
Other examples:
ARK: Survival Evolved and
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

But I'm sure that will be resolved very soon (they don't want to lose money do they?).

Yeah thanks... When i looked now to my wishlist, most of games there don't have prices in PLN like GTA, Borderlands, Call Of Duty and many others...

Am I supposed to sit with a calculator to check prices/discounts now?

Conversion rates for pricing isn't Valve monopoly. Every other publisher gets into attention it's own conversion ratio. It should be locked by Valve as it's being abused. Like mexico prices for COD WW2 - which is 72$ when being converted from mexican money. While us gets 60$ price :D EU - 49.99 EUR which is basically the same.

Grand Theft Auto V is now the equivalent of $100 USD for customers from Israel.

The regional currencies are another great change in a string of excellent ones. Exactly what I and many other who used to spend too much money in the Steam store needed. Thank you Valve! :-)
