When doing giveaways of purchased gifts simply sitting in my inventory
Thanks for answer. I've done so in my current GA, though that one was done after i noticed Steam had such restrictions.

The problem with that is that the recipient will then be told the e-mail address that is connected to my Steam account.

hmm..Are you sure they deliver out my e-mail at direct friend-list gifting?
EDIT: It appears you are correct.
But yeah, i'd personally prefer that as well; Sending to a confirmed and active Steam account (and whatever e-mail connected to that account). Instead of sending to a rather random e-mail.
I'm surprised at how Valve can consider handing out e-mails connected to Steam accounts, as a measure "for security purposes"...

Are there any rules about circumventing "Gifts become tradable 30 days after purchase" ?
As far as Steamgifts goes: Yes.
Steamgifts uses the [bundled, unbundled, free] status of the game that was present at the time of giveaway creation.
So if you're patient enough, and find it desirable enough to wait out the 30 days, you can make the giveaway a few days after purchase, and set it to end after the end of the trade lock (and still get full CV credit for the game even if it gets bundled/free afterward).
Flip side, you could also swap out your Steam e-mail each time, but 1: That sounds like a major hassle given Steam's current security measures and 2: It actually doesn't always work correctly, occasionally still linking your previous e-mail. :X
In any case, I don't recall ever seeing any real issues pop up on the matter, so it may be an unnecessary measure. Likewise, you can certainly mitigate any risks by only offering your gift giveaways to groups you feel are trustworthy (or creating your own group with that in mind.)

So. I purchased a few games that i think are cool today. And a few extra copies of the those that offered the best price.
But, Steam seems to not allow me to send them as "trades" until 30 days have passed since purchase was made (in my case, that would mean 3rd of september). Apparently, they have to be sent as direct-gift , requiring the recipient to be in my steam friends-list, or using e-mail (which i'm very restrictive about doing, since recipient will then get to know my Steam account email)
