I already wanted to play it when I saw a trailer on youtube, but my wife saw the trailer too and almost cried with the story and said: I waana play this game. She's not really into games, but she like a few games with beatiful designs and amazing story well told like "Leo's Fortune".
Also all my friends said it is a truely awesome story, so I wanna play it badly.
Anyway, thanks for the chance. =)

youve barely made it because you didn't own 1k+ games and have 500+ games wishlisted. The only reason it took me this long to consider is because you havent contributed anything so far, but I understand that everyone's in various positions financially, etc. Good luck, and try to give back to this incredible community.

That's ok, I dont have any spare games to give and my country is on crisis, Brazil, so I guess I'll have to wait a little more before I can return to the community.
Anyway thanks for your reply and for the chance. =)
EDIT: fix grammatical errors.

Thanks for the giveaway I enjoyed a lot of games similar to this. When I first saw this on steam I thought it had a really nice art for a platformer. Really looking forward to playing this, too bad I missed it when it was -50% off.

Being completely honest, I have never heard of either game, but i dont believe having heard of a game is motivation enough, ive encountered great games and strange ones (plug and play) cough cough through playing anything that is thrown at me, I have a list of games i am picking off one by one till i have beaten every game on my steam account (wish steam cloud worked for all games though), its up to you to believe me, from the group of untouched games, I plan to dedicate 24 hours of gameplay in addition to having beat the game. due to your rules, if i win, these games will get priority.

I will play this game first of all because the themes seems really interesting. I love a lot of thing about the myths and legends about the nature and such stuff, since I live in Mexico I have researched a lot since high school about the different aspects the mayans have about these mystical creatures, such as the balam and the monsters, also I have my encounter with an "Aluxe" which easily could be the equivalent of a goblin, the difference is that according to mayan legends you build a doll and make a blood pact with the doll in order to provide it with a soul, then you bury the doll in your plantation and it will protect it from strangers and thiefs, the powers they have are that they control energy and psychic attacks, there are people that get lost inside the corn plantation and also some people die of high fevers; same as goblins they love to play tricks on people and they love kids, for example they steal things from the people, but return them in a month, kids dissapear and appear after a month all well nurished, they just claimed they were playing with a naked hairy kid, also they like to scare people by throwing energy balls at their door and imitating sounds from bigger and more dangerous animals. The last part was my experience I was in a far town at the south of Mexico and during the whole night I heard the sound of rocks being thrown at my door (I knew it was just energy balls since next day while examining the door I douldn find any damage at the door or any rock nearby), since I knew about these "Aluxes's" tricks I just tried to ignore it, and tried to get some sleep, but I heard that a huge animal like Buffalo was roaming around the house and sniffing the door, I even saw it's shadown, but well as I knew Aluxes were just trolling me I just ignored and also there was a lot of electrostatic interference all around the house, I noticed because I slept with my headphones and there was this interference noise, but I was listening to my MP3 not radio, so that's why I knew the electric field was weird all in the house.
So yeah I love nature, legends and a lot of those unexplained things that happen all around in the forest, since my grand father and my uncles used to tell me a lot of stories. And i will definitely will play this game right away, as soon as I win it because I'm just about to finish rage and I will have time to invest in this amazing game.
Also I love indie titles and played Year Walk, which also deal with these mystical creatures from the forest of Sweden. Since I believe the indie industry deal with some things the great AAA titles simple don't try, and sometimes we get great things and sometimes those great things become AAA, just like portal.

Well, what else can I say that it hasn't been said already?
Every single time someone named Ori, someone went nuts about how great game it is and how much they loved playing it, followed by strong suggestions of buying it as soon as it were possible. I'm not the kind of person whom watch let's plays and gameplays as I don't wish to be spoiled, I had however, to check at least the steam store about Ori and the Blind Forest, read the description, see the overwelming amount of ppl whom got it and got to love it, see the delightful art style and smooth animations, some friends said it was metroidvania -which I love-, I may be now one of those sad suckers whom lost the chance to get such a great game when it had a price glitch for 5 bucks. Heck, my friends who played it said it even worths his original price, and that they'd pay it over again if it means they'd get to enjoy it as if it were their first time playing it, all over again.
What else can I say? I wish I can play it soon. Ofc it would be so much better if that could be sooner than later, and I'd gladly pospone my backlog just for Ori's. I owe it to myself, I owe to my 15 steam friends that played it and to those 56 others that want to play it.
Oh, one more thing, hope it doesn't get me in trouble: I could had easily googled and download it and "be done" with it, but this game doesn't deserve that, heck doesn't deserve ME if I'd do that to Ori's. Some games are just more than games, they have kinda a life on their own, and to play them legally, either purchasing and supporting the creators and devs, it's just as important as playing it. When you do something good, you kinda want to know that people enjoys it, that they love what you've created. Hopefully one day I can do that for them. For now, as a sign of honour and respect, I either play this when it's time, in the right way, or I don't play it at all, because that's the right thing to do. Thanks
As Mullins said, words can be deceiving, facts dont.

Proof that it was at grasp and many many people let it go...

I wouldn't get to playing it until a week or two when I finish my new computer so... guess I am out.

I haven't won last time, but i'll definitely play this game if i win it.
When there was a price bug i bought a copy for myself but my little brother said he has this game on his wishlist, so I offered it to him for his birthday.... He told me the game was awesome, one of the greatest platformer he's played in a while. That made me want the game even more but there hasn't been an other bug since then, so i still haven't bought a copy for myself T_T

I've had this game on my wishlist for almost four months, but I've never been able to pick it up. Usually if I'm excited about a game, I'll watch a few gameplay videos or something to see if I'll like it. This is one of the few games I refuse to do that for; I don't want any of this masterpiece of a game spoiled for me.

This game is beautiful and has been sitting around in my wish list waiting for a steep sale. ;p Now... play is a thing I'll definitely do, beating it however... is another story. I've heard it's a very challenging game near the end. (though that can be a good thing to be fair, gives more playtime and makes it that much more rewarding when I finish)

I currently have about 600 games in my back catalogue to play. I definitely will play it if I win, but can't guarantee when :-)

Ori and the Blind Forest!! I love beautyful games focused on plot, kind of interactive stories, that's why I like adventure games like Deponia trilogy (which I'm playing now). Can't promise that I will finish it very fast, because of work and studying, but I sure will spend my free time playing that game and I will finish it :) I saw gameplay and it looks so amazing

Eh, I probably can't convince you and I'm sure other people want the game more than me. I actually thought the game was related to Ubisoft given that it strongly reminds me of the recent Rayman games (I've played origins, but haven't played Legends or any of the older games yet). Similarly it seems to play fluidly and fast paced like the recent Rayman games. Anyways, just wanted give my thoughts on the game. I know I totally want the game and would love it (as platformers, especially when added with strong atmosphere like the Donkey Kong Country series are one of my favourite genres), but I'm sure other people want it even more.
I usually can't give strong loving opinions on a game until I've actually went all the way through it or it brings a strong feeling of uniqueness or reminds me of some of my favourite games. I'm not surprised the game has been sitting on my wishlist this whole time along many other platformers.

Man, that's hard. I got so many games already, I didn't even launch over 50% of them, not to mention play for any meaningful amount of time (I still didn't play HL2 which I bought on the first summer sale ever, some ~10 years ago). And I keep buying more for myself, cause it's so hard to resist sales... :-/
I wish I could buy some free time somewhere. Or better yet - buy a lot of free time, yeah... ;-(
As for Ori - don't allow me in the GA, I won't play cause it won't run on my system (I use GNU/Linux + I have winxp for the legacy games).

One of the sexiest looking and sounding games made and available on Steam. I recommend everyone give this game a chance!

Ori goes after me both as a gamer and as an artist. The visuals are great - stylized, but to great effect. And I've found that i'm enjoying the storytelling more and more in my games - Bastion, Remember Me, Valiant Hearts, and Tormentum (just finished) to name but a few. Add to that storytelling through the visuals, and I'm in love. From what I've seen, the characters emote so much emotion, too.

I'll tell you my story with this game. Back in June/July, when the price bug happened, I had to decide for whom I'll buy a copy. My friend had two things on his Wishlist. Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Ori. I bought him Rebirth for 2014 Christmas, and when the price bug happened I only had money for one copy. So I went on, purchased it, and I don't know why, but I have this thing I do: I wishlist a game, when I know I'm gonna get it, then when I'm about to redeem the gift or code, I remove it from the wishlist. So I did that, but then I looked at my friend, and he said: "I'd give anything for Ori". This made me think deeply, because even then, I had 500 games (yes, I know I bought a lot of bundles). So I ended up gifting the copy to him. And when the next day I topped up my credit card, the price bug already ended. I went to the forums, and I was searching for people, who didn't want 5+ keys for it, but I had no luck. Later he agreed to share his account with me, I downloaded the game, but I couldn't hit "Play". No, it wasn't techincal problem, I just couldn't make myself press it. That game wasn't mine, and I'm that kind of person, who only plays with their games. Sure, I shared my account with my friends, but I can't play with anyone else's game. I'd definitely play it, if it were mine, because I really love Metroidvania-like games. The best I ever played was probably Guacamelee! I didn't stop playing it, until every level had been 100%-ed :D. So since I love Metroidvania games, and have a computer, which can play almost any new game in at least low settings, I'd definitely play Ori, if I'd win it :)

Ori and the Blind Forest has been on my wishlist the moment I laid eyes on it back in March.
Everything about it looks amazing...I'd drop all other games, even movies and series, just to play through this game.
Aah, the drool.
Thanks for your consideration. ;)

Great idea.
A few weeks ago I saw a similar thread (this Wishlist thread by orono, to be exact). I loved the idea - actually making sure the people who win the game genuinely wanted to play it.
I'm a big fan of 2D side scrolling platformers. A few favourites on steam are The Fall, Limbo, The Swapper, and Mark of the Ninja - all fantastic games that I would recommend to everyone. I only put Ori on my wishlist recently when I saw it appear on SG. Would love to be in with a chance to play it, thanks for your consideration! :-)

Watching my wife play through this on Steam... makes me want to play it a lot. Beautiful art style and some pretty mean platforming areas looks like a good challenge.
