Hi,
I would like to ask what symbol font is SG use.
When I open SG with firefox the web display little hex code box for some symbol char. (steam logo, label icon etc.)
After googling I think my problem happen because I don't have a certain font so my browser can't display this special symbol font.

So could you tell me what font should be downloaded.
I would be appreciate, if you provided link to download the font :D

Thank you in advance

Font Awesome
Have you tried ctrl+f5? This font loads with CSS, so usually you don't have to install it manually.

This is not the first that my font doesn't load. It always happen all the time since SG update (few month ago).
I've tried to find another solution on the internet but not found the solution.
So I finally decide to post in this forum.

I would try installing the fonts from the website f1x3d linked (direct link to the download is here: http://fontawesome.io/#modal-download ) There are some other files in there you don't need. But try installing the files from the fonts folder - specifically fontawesome-webfont.ttf and/or FontAwesome.otf

Hopefully that will help you.

More info:
Screenshot : http://postimg.org/image/kggk4ta3n/
I use Windows 7 64 bit (my locale is Thailand)
Firefox 38.0.5
I've also tried to check and un-check "Options > Content > Font & Color > Advance > Allow pages to choose their own font ...." but both settings don't solve my problem

This happens to my Chrome too. But Chrome show small box without hex code inside it.

Thanks

Hi, again

I found the same problem again even if I also install 'Font Awesome' as f1x3d advised.

Do you have another suggestion?

Did you try deactivating your addons? It looks like this if you block certain scripts for example.

I try to deactivating my add-ons, it doesn't work.
However, my plug-in is not fancy, I only have flash, java, itunes and PDF plugin which I think it shouldn't cause this problem.

If I got this right you had this problem several times, five days ago you solved it by installing the font, one day ago it reappeared, right? Did you check if the font is still installed and did you try reinstalling it? Have you done any significant changes to your OS in the meantime?

Yes, it was fixed last week. But the problem happened again a couple of days ago.
I've check the font. It is still installed. I have also try to reinstall it again but doesn't work.
I didn't touch my Windows (however, I'm not sure about auto-update). I only install new games from Steam.

Sorry, I've run out of ideas besides completely nuking your computer which isn't the best solution.

You have a problem with "content" instruction from css.

For exemple, in the top tabs:

.fa-angle-down:before {
content: "\f107";
}

And how can I try to fix it?

I've seen this posted before, can't find it right now though... I think in that case it was some script blocker as mentioned above... do you maybe have a fancy virus scanner that wants to monitor your network traffic or something?

Thanks for your suggestion. I have only Avast free anti-virus.
I also try to disable it but it doesn't work.
