Online and Offline?

So, I was trading with some guy some days ago, and he said we'd talk next day. He hasn't come on since. But, now I looked at his profile, and he's online, yet not online in the friend's list. So whenever I talk to him, it's useless. I tried with my phone now, and he appears to be online there, so I tried talking, but he hasn't responded either. What is this madness? What should I do? D:

Maybe he logged on to his Steam account and went away so he didn't notice your messages. At least he hasn't removed you from his friend list or blocked you so there's still a chance he'll complete the trade later.

Specifically he's online right now, playing FTL unless Steam's not right. But he doesnt respond and on the chat he's listed as Offline

Now I've unfriended him, but when I try to re-friend him, it doesnt show up in my Invitations Sent part of my friend list. This is starting to piss me off :/

If he's online, but appears offline in your friends list, it means he's removed you as a friend.
