Yes, sometimes dealing with people on the internet can suck and be frustrating but that's kind of how it is. Getting upset about it isn't really helping you out. If you feel yourself getting upset over random dumbdumbs during a trade, you should try slowly counting to 10 or do something to calm yourself. The guy could have been more clear and handled things differently but in all honesty, you probably scared him. Reading your messages kind of scared me lol

The Seller should not have worried about the person already having FORCED in his inventory because he was getting it for a friend like we all do for Co-op games. Trading seems very stressful for you. Sure, there are a few users around who will test your patience, but if you're going to trade on Steam it's an unfortunate occupational hazard. Have you consider a less aggravating pastime?

Timestamps would be helpful, indeed. It could all very well depend on how long that conversation took, exactly.

Since you added him, he may have been looking into you, checking that you're who you claim to be, checking your negative rep, and checking Steamrep. All of which are reasonable things to do when someone adds you, even with prior communication through Steamtrades.

Keep in mind that you added him, not the other way around. He may have blindly accepted without having read your responses past his original reply. He may not have recognized you as being that guy, and has to get his bearings.

As far as cancelling the trade, he did post in the conversation between you two, saying that he would pass. It's hard to tell how far between it and your post before that was, so are you sure that wasn't before/during the point in which you added him?

As far as declining because you already have it, it being a co-op game, it is reasonable that you would maybe want it for a friend, but he might not have checked your game list to see that you owned it. To him, it just seems suspicious, and if a trade is suspicious, then it's best avoided. He could have done better to explain his reasoning and hear a response, but with you seemingly trying to rush the trade along, that too can be suspicious.

Like it or not, you're going to want to calm down with the impatience, especially if you're adding people before a solid deal has been struck. Trading is a paranoia-filled hobby, and people are going to take their time and even change their minds, even due to the rudeness. But that isn't what the rep system is for. It is meant for scammers, and although he may have pissed you off, neither of you gained nor lost anything.

The way I see it, both of you are guilty of behaving in an inappropriate ways. I'm more on the seller's side for obvious reason, you definitely didn't have to go swearing and calling him names for this reason. A calm, easy going talk perhaps would have straightened out this misunderstanding, instead of making it worse.

I'm not saying that the seller was any better on his side, only that when someone acts in a unpleasant way, do not beat them at being even more displeasing, or you'll turn out to be the "bad guy".

Also, I would recommend closing this thread since it's breaking the "no calling out" rule.

If you have an issue with rep another user left for you, please submit a support ticket regarding it. Making it a public issue is not appropriate, nor is some of your behavior in this thread.
