I cannot find a place to buy, torrent, or whatever.
I know there is a PC version though.

If you mean the original one you should try to use an emulator, if you mean the phantom pain/ground zeroes...then steam or other steam retailers are the way to go

Oh yes, I forgot to mention. It is the original Metal Gear Solid.

I have that version myself, but I heavily recommend getting Metal Gear Solid and the VR Mission PS1 Classics from PSN if possible. Not very good playing with a keyboard.

I have a controller though.

Problem is it didn't support them well back then (I had one as well), and there are bits that force gamepad controls on you even if you have a working controller.

Besides, PS3 means you get all the important games in the series. Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 HD, Metal Gear Solid 3 HD, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD, Metal Gear Solid 4 and even the newest games, though those you should play on PC at least.

They were a PS exclusive till recently no? Use an emulator (no judge) or buy the collection from the PSN or local game shop for the PS3(?).

Nope, it had a PC release. Just not a good one IMO.

Pff, hardly. I've owned quite a few of the games myself, but hardly an expect on the lore or anything.

Hmm, now I'm intrigued. The collection is still probably the best way to go but I think finding these titles for pc might be something worth doing in my spare time.

Play them in chronological order. I could only get MGS1 as a torrent on PC, but it was still amazing.

You see, if I heard different peeps argue both sides. Some say (like you) to play in chronological while others argue for launch sequence :/. Going to have to do a bit of reading up on this before I give it a proper go.

I tried Pirating Metal Gear Solid, I think I uninstalled because the controls with 360 controller were just utter crap. Otherwise I would love to replay it, one of my first games ever on PS1 and most loved.
