Is the Crew actually any good?

A buddy of mine has it and he is really enjoying it, but he complains that there is not a lot of players playing online a lot and the AI can be a pain in the ass.

I'm probably getting it next week as I have a free game owed me by Ubisoft and its literally the only one of the choices on offer for PC that I do not own already. I thought the beta was a bit weak, but Im going to give the retail version a good try at least.

In reading the reviews, I would probably not buy it myself.

I own it and give lots of praise to a true MMO racing game. But there are many issues with it. The AI is really OP, you can be a good 25 seconds ahead and then out of no where they can be right behind you and then passing you. They also somehow always have faster cars than you even though your car is 100 points higher than what the recommended car level is for the quest. Not to say that the game isn't fun, but I would watch some people stream it (not Youtube videos because those are recorded, watching the live Rage) to see if you think it would be a game you would want to actually buy

Depends, Do you like driving around America with no exact clear goal other than racing?

I was in beta twice... Not worth the full price because really bad physics... Other parts of game are from "good" to "awesome" :D
