Hi,

As I was searching a Steam user's credentials for trade, Google 'ing resulted me his profile on HRK such as: https://www.hrkgame.com/profile/PROFILENAME/. The page was more informative then it should be and make me wonder what was mine looked like (had account for their GAs). The result was shocking that even if I set my profile's "private" settings, HRK profile shows every bit of information that you put there without even need for login to their site including:

  • Real Names
  • Birth Dates
  • Country
  • Steam Profile (if linked)
  • What you bought/win/trade (unless private)

You have no option what can be shown other than deleting them and unless you are careful this leaves identifiable traces for those who seek to cross-reference and exploit it. So be sure to check your HRK profile if you have it and delete all information not needed there. But this may not be a solution if you are regular HRK user which they may ask those information again (then you have to delete again too). Be warned and take precautions for your sake.

Bye.

TL;DR: Check your https://www.hrkgame.com/profile/PROFILENAME/ and "delete" unnecessary information.

The only thing my HRK profile shows is a link to my Steam profile, but then I never gave them any real info to begin with because I knew they were not to be trusted.

Well, my info there is the same you can get from any of my profiles: my first name (Axel if it wasn't obvious enough), the first letter of my last name (I never put my full last name) and a link to my steam profile (you can get one from SG too).
Really don't see how someone could use that to find me, I mean, you can get more useful info from my steam profile :P

couldn't really see any vital info ... checked on 6 accounts
by entering random names (erazor, pikachu, topkek, derp, ... )

except for the steam account being linked, and "probable" real
name chosen on the site nothing else of importance was visible

don't know what the fuss is about > although putting on those
sites your real name ... for what, unless you want to

Hi,

First of all, all of the information that you have mentioned are completely false.
Real Names, Birth Dates, Country are not provided from Steam profiles. You are the one who put them on your HRK profile and you have the option to not put them on your profile in the first place.

Not HRK, neither any other website can get your personal information from Steam. Please read Steam privacy and policy about this.
It is not even necessary to login via Steam to use HRK.

All of the games that you have in your HRK inventory or library can get hidden from your profile settings. About the trade offers, it has been on HRK profiles to help users to trade their games faster. It doesn't make any sense to hide it while you want to trade with the community, while the community can't see your trade offers, how they supposed to make a trade with you?
