I've made a new Steam group for Idle Master users:

Haven't had the chance to read the whole thread, but does anybody have the instructions as they pertain to Firefox? I was unable to locate the needed info by just perusing around... Thanks!

Really? No offense meant, honestly, but you saw the tutorial for Chrome, I'm assuming, yet couldn't figure out how to substitute Chrome with Firefox? Tools, (if you have the menu bar visible) - Options - Privacy - Remove Individual Cookies - Type in "steamcommunity" in the search box. After that, just scroll down until you see sessionid and steamLogin.
I like to pretend I'm a bit of a dumbass, (I actually have an IQ of 157, but when you're a dumbass, people expect less of you and don't ask you for help all the time), and even I, in my dumbass mode, figured it out. Every browser has cookies that can be enabled, (most sites these days seem to require they be enabled, not like the good old days when privacy wasn't a currency that was overbalanced and you could still use every website without having cookies enabled, although admittedly you had to log in to any membership site each and every time you went to it), and you need to get to the cookies, (the names of the specific cookies are entitled the same), so;
Different Browser - Firefox/Waterfox, just for an example,
Firstly, copy the settings.txt file in the folder where you extracted all the files for Idle Master, For example mine is C:-Games-Idle Master - Steam
, (The coding on this board doesn't like using backslashes, used to address somewhere on your PC, so I've used hyphens (-) in their place), apparently so obviously the settings.txt file is in there
Now PASTE the file into the SAME folder, yeah, I know it sounds dumb, but trust me, (This is so you have an EXACT copy of the settings.txt file in the state it was when you first downloaded it, handy in case you screw something up)
After pasting the file, either leave the name of the file as is, which should be "settings_2" or rename it, I renamed mine "settings-BACKUP", so I know exactly which file is the one needed. Like I said, in case you screw things up.
Go to the Options (Under the Tools tab on this browser but Options should be easily accessible with any browser),and look for Privacy or History.
Look at the options and see if you can either search the cookies, (ideally this option would be better), or, again, in the case of Water/Firefox, click "Remove Individual Cookies"
Search for steamcommunity
Copy and paste the details for sessionid and steamLogin to the "settings" file of Idle Master. (You can usually leave steamparental = "" sort = "" clear, unless you have "Family View" enabled on your account)
Save the file
Double-click "start.exe"
Ta-daaaaaa!!!
Done. Easy, wasn't it?``

I know he'd already replied with that. I posted because I found it difficult to believe that he couldn't work out where the info he needed was in Firefox

Holy shit, the autism is strong with this one.
I'm actually autistic and here you've made me use the buzzword version to describe you, nice going.

Nice, I feel humbled by your scarcely-hidden scorn. I get like that sometimes, when I just start babbling about absolutely sod all for ages, stories that just don't go anywhere and seemingly never end.
My bad, I hold my hand up for that one

I've made a tutorial in Brazilian Portuguese:

In your instruction pdf there's no mention about steamparental. It's also required info. While it's easy to check because we have to manually edit the txt, it took me another minute wondering why idlemaster wasnt able to get any game with cards simply because I have steamparental enabled and also required me to input the cookie data.

I might be wrong but it looks like it can't find a dll file, there should be a CSteamworks.dll and a Steam api.dll, (it doesn't like the underscore there in between steam and api, for some reason), in the folder. If one is missing, I'm putting odds on that it's steam api.dll. If that's true, then your antivirus has quarantined/deleted the file. Disable your AV, restore the file, if you can, or download the whole thing again, if needed, and copy the files to the folder again. Open your AV and make an entry in the Exclusion/Ignore/Whitelist for steam api.dll in that folder and then re-enable your AV. If you did it right, it should be fine now

Thanks for that tool :), got a lot of cards out of it already after one week (about 150 cards), but I have a problem lately that I'm always being logged out of Steam in Chrome everytime after booting my PC, which is annoying due to always having to get the cookie for the sessionid again, any idea what may be the problem for that?

Clear your cookies, cache, temp internet files, etc. Then reboot your PC. When you go on Chrome, log in with your details, remembering to tick "Remember me" and try it again.
It's possible it's just a corrupt cookie, it happens once in a while, or maybe even just a bad sector on your HDD but your cookie just happens to be seated on it, (that would be REALLY unlucky, though), If clearing internet files and privacy doesn't work, next time you reboot your PC, before shutting down, go to your C drive, right-click and go to Properties, then Tools and choose Error-checking. When that box pops up tick BOTH boxes, then next time you get the chance, and you don't need your PC for an hour or so, reboot the PC, then instead of pressing any key to skip disk checking, let it run and see what pops up.....But, like I say, that would REALLY, REALLY, REALLY unlucky and you probably have a better chance of winning a mid to high 5-number win on the Lotto

Well, I've managed to reduce my remaining card drops from over 300 (80 games) to 59 drops (25 games) and make a nice chunk of change in the process. I've especially enjoyed it for the larger games that I didn't want to download just to idle for cards.

I get this 4 line error:
WELCOME TO IDLE MASTER (green text)
Finding games that have card drops remaining
Error reading badge page (red text)
Press ENTER to continue...
I'm behind firewall, and I made exceptions for both:
start.exe and steam-idle.exe
Update: It seems it was a firewall issue, no one answered my first post from a week ago anyways. So anyone know exactly, what specifically I need to allow through my firewall?
I all ready have steam.exe and all the steam related .exes, as well as both idle master .exe.

I meant what I said before, I can connect to you and try to sort it that way. Now you have it in proof of writing here, so if I do screw around with your system or go looking at personal files that I have no reason to look at, you can get me blacklisted by pretty much everybody on this site.
If we do this, with the program I suggested, I swear to you, in front of all the people on this forum, that all I will do is get the right info and sort it out with your firewall. That's it, nothing more, I double check your settings file and sort out your firewall, you have my word. And don't forget, if you see me doing anything suspicious, you can just turn off the connection on your end, which will boot me from the program.
Step by step. As long as you have the Idle Master folder on the desktop:
I connect using the User ID and Password that the program gives you and you give me
I open Firefox, go to the options and look at your cookies.
I open the settings.txt file in the Idle Master folder
I copy across the sessionid and steamLogin details.
I go to your Firewall through the advanced option in Network and Sharing Centre, (either go through Control Panel or click on the internet icon next to the time).
I create rules for the files that need it and save it.
We run Idle Master and see if it's working.

Just wanted to add my thanks. :) I've had it installed for almost a month now and it works like a charm.

"Presumably so, yes." I don't know... I've invested quite a lot into my account to get it banned for some silly crap like this....

i was just editing steam_appid.txt in space pirates and zombies, for appid number i wanted (easy to check for appid at steam store) and launch game from exe when steam loged (if you launch game from steam, it will launch normal SPAZ game)
Comment has been collapsed.
I was doing the exact same thing using the exact same game. SPAZ was great for this because it was a small install and does not launch full screen. I have since switched to idle master because it switches between games automatically and I don't have to lookup app ids. SPAZ is still useful if you want to idle a specific game for something like Playfire.

I created an application that automatically idles your Steam games to extract all of your available Steam Trading Cards. The application automatically finds the games you have drops remaining in, and idles those games one by one until all of your trading cards are in your inventory. This way, you can start up the program and go to sleep / work / away and come back to an inventory full of cards.

Source Code
Official Group
Installation Instructions
Go to the Official Site, download and run the setup.exe file there. The program should launch automatically when the installation is complete. Make sure Steam is open and you're logged in. To start idling, you'll need to click the (Sign In) button and sign in to Steam. Once that's done you should be "in-game" on Steam and the program will indicate as such. Now go watch TV, go to bed, or go on vacation. When you come back to your computer, you should have a pile of Trading Cards in your inventory.
Some FAQ
How does this work?
First of all, the program will determine which of your games still have card drops remaining. It will go through each application and simulate you being “in-game” so that cards will drop. It will check periodically to see if the game you’re idling has card drops remaining. When only one drop remains, it will start checking more frequently. When the game you’re idling has no more cards, it’ll move on to the next game. When no more cards are available, the program will exit.
Do I need to download a game in order for this program to get it's trading cards?
No.
Do I need to be logged in to Steam for Idle Master to work?
Yes, Steam needs to be running and you must be logged in.
Can I play a game while this is running?
It’s possible, but doing so may significantly reduce your card drop rate. For best results, exit this program before playing a game.
How do I close the application?
Simply click the red X on the application.
Is this safe?
Presumably so, yes. The program that simulates you being in-game is no different than other popular methods like using Steam Achievement Manager or "the AppID trick".
Why do I need to sign in to Steam from the application?
When you visit your badges page on Steam, it will show you how many card drops you have remaining in each game. When another user looks at your badges page, they can only see the badges you've completed. By signing in, this allows Idle Master to connect to Steam properly and gives it access to this information that only you can see.
Why should I trust this?
The entire project is open source, which includes the source code for all binaries.
Troubleshooting
Idle Master looks like it's working, but I'm not getting any Steam Trading Cards.
First of all, be patient. Idle Master doesn't make them drop any faster than they normally would if you were playing the game, and each game has a different drop rate. Another thing to check is that your Steam profile correctly shows that you're "In-Game". If Steam doesn't think you're "In-Game", it means something is wrong with your configuration.
