Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (and Series) made me "kind of a cyborg-loving man"!

Hue's audio narrative was very unique and made me smile several times while playing it.

I'm not sure if this game made the biggest impression to me, but it sure was a big impression. Final Fantasy 7. Got this 1998 for my birthday and it was the best birthday present ever! Luckily I also got sick at this time and didn't have to go to school, means laying in bed with a lot of free time while playing this masterpiece all day long! It was a wonderful gaming experience as a kid, It probably started my love to (J)RPGs as well!

Speaking all time, I would have to say the original XCOM and Jagged Alliance games had the biggest impression on me. I enjoy squad-based turn-based game with permadeath and these two were among the first (and absolutely the best in what they did). And with Jagged Alliance 3 there was finally a really good and worthy successor for the original JA. 🙂

Dota 2 unironically. The complex mechanics, the seemingly infinite skill ceiling, the lore, the characters personality through all their voice lines. It's endlessly replayable and fun to analyze your matches to figure out what could have been done differently. You can be a funny little rat man from fantasy Boston who is made of 3 to 4 other funny little rat men. Then beat everyone and everything in front of you with shovels until even the dust is dust. You can be gods and elementals and demons. And you can also beat them into dust with shovels. Its a great game.

Hiya! I'd say in recent memory the games that have left the biggest impression were Cruelty Squad and Return of the Obra Dinn, with the (former being heavily recommended! and the) latter's impression being the biggest. It's been my favorite game ever since I played it in 2023. Not only is the dithering art style so unique and captivating but the murder mystery-esque premise and the gameplay taking you through the history of the crew, the non-linearity of the game, the voice acting... Everything was just so well made and honestly so close to perfect to the point where I'm kind of afraid to play it again since I'm worried it's just my nostalgia tinted glasses... I hear Lucas Pope is probably in the early stages of developing another game, so excited!
Note: I'm active on TalePlay, PAGYWOSG etc. so I'm familiar with playing games I win :)

Hey, I'd like to be considered 🙏
God of War (the very first and the entire franchise though i only played I & II) was really awe-inspiring.
Everything about it, from graphics to puzzles to action hack and slash. So fun and such a great marvel.

In my younger days of course Half-Life 1 & Half-Life 2 Ep1-2, these games have defined my start as a gamer and been close to my heart ever since. S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Portal, S.M.A.S.H. TV, Legend of Zelda, Diablo, Metal Gear Solid, and GTA V also comes to mind.
In later years I've found that games have a harder time to make me feel really invested again. I guess not being young and impressionable (read starry-eyed and stupid) any longer does that to us all... It's sad to start playing games that look amazing, have great reviews, and after a week stop playing because something happens in life and then just forgetting they are even installed - they just don't rock my world as before.
Then came Escape From Tarkov in 2017. Oh man, I was back again, it was effing ON. The excitement was on again. I couldn't eat, sleep, just wanted to get back to the game. Flaws you ask? Yeah. Many. But HOT DAMN how good it was when not frustratingly broken. How good it is.
2017 I started playing it, in october. 2018 I played nothing else. 2109-2024 played it waaaay more than anything else, and I still play it almost religiously - that says a lot. Maybe I wasn't jaded after all, maybe I just reacted to the result of the modern production process of games where producers profits so often go before developers dreams of grandeur? Maybe. Maybe not.
Whatever the reason; I'm back baby. I've come to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum.

For me it is Forza Horizon 4, it is the first racing game that I actually enjoyed especially with the open world aspect. I bought it last year during its "delisting" sale and it was worth every penny!

hmm for the game that made the biggest impression on me... would have to be one of the first N64 games I played... hard to say which exactly since they all came to me around the same time and all left lasting impressions..
Donkey Kong 64, Ocarina of Time and Mario 64... you may notice they are all N64 titles and that impression was the future of gaming, going from 2D to 3D was mindblowing back then, I remember thinking just how realistic the games looked..... looking back I question how I thought that... but hey I was a kid.
Playing wins is definitely something I do my best at doing, the few newest ones are still pending to be played, and a few scattered around in the queue to be played/finished. I should be around 75% of my wins beaten/completed atm.

Hi. Among the most impressive recent ones: Against the Storm and Mind Over Magic. Both city-building sims, a bit of grinding, a bit of exploration. And a bit of dark fantasy in the vein of Darkest Dungeon.
As for the most impressive of all time... Skyrim. With mods.

FF7 will clearly always be my favourite game... yes i'm old
A top-quality story, interesting characters, a huge variety of materia combinations, all set in a vast world.
But also because Sephiroth is the emblematic enemy par excellence.
And last but not least, for its frenetic Chocobo races and because Cloud has a sword that's way too big for him, and that's so cool!

Heroes of Might & Magic 3
First strategy game I've played, and still the best one :)

hi! difficult to choose, but choosing from the ones i played in recent years, it would be Laika: Aged through Blood. I often have trouble getting immersed in the game, but Laika made it so easy due to excellent music and great artstyle. it just has so much character. and I love metroidvanias, so it was right up my alley :3
I played it a year ago but I still listen to the soundtrack and it makes me emotional almost every time.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I used to play often video games, but after I saw what ground breaking features that game had it was something else. I fell in love with video games, trying to search and read about their history, their difficulties and obstacles in their development. OoT was definitely the game that had the biggest impact in my life.

The game that left the biggest impression on me was Spiritfarer. I think it perfectly conveys the feelings surrounding the passing of a loved one. How you meet people, bring them into your life, care for them, and in the end, have to say goodbye. I believe it’s one of those games that should be made into a movie because it touches on emotions that all of us have or will experience someday.

Kinda hard to pick one game.
From my wins, and I've been lucky to win amazing games, the one that just stayed with me is Detroit Become Human. Everything about this game is perfect. Not only is the writing and the acting great, like a great (long) movie would be but the gameplay makes it so immersive and never boring to play the game again and again to explore all the paths for all the characters.
I'm just truly grateful to be on this site you know? I have played a lot of games I probably wouldn't have gotten for myself, like Gris, which also left a very strong impression. It's such a minimalistic but efficient platformer and it tells a beautiful and very sad story without a word.
I'll stop there because I could go on and on.

For some time, I’ve been considering this idea, and I’ve finally decided to take action. I’m looking for people I can add to the whitelist. I don’t have many requirements, but you should be at least level 3 and fairly active.
If you win a whitelist giveaway, you should play the game within three months. I do not accept collectors who never play the games they win.
In the comment, write which game made the biggest impression on you and why.
Edit: After several replies, I decided not to respond to each of you individually. You'll know if I add you.
