Hello, I remember there used to be a workaround on Steam, which allowed users to buy x-packs (4-packs, 3-packs etc..) as gift. Is it still possible to do so?

Yes.

Whats the point on buying a 4pack if it isnt as a gift?

New Steam Feature
Add 4 games(all the same) to your library, yes, you now have the chance to play the same game 4times.

EDIT: I read it all wrong ayyy

you buy a 4 pack for the rpice of 3 of them so you can share those copies with your friends. You can gift them the keys or pay the pack between 4 :)

Can someone give a non-retarded reply?
A game pack wouldn't be for my personal use, it would be for trading.

Yeah ignore Swag (most people do).

I don't know of any workarounds mate. If there was they probably would have fixed it by now.

Last I knew it was:

Open up a browser with your account logged in.
Open 2 tabs with the steam store up.
In one of the tabs(tab 1) add any random game that can be gifted to your cart.
Click purchase as gift in that tab(tab 1).
In the other tab(tab 2) add the 4 pack you want and remove the filler game.
Go back to the first tab(tab 1) and then click add to inventory and it will show a 4 pack to buy that will then go into your inventory.

No clue if it still works.

It doesn't work anymore, Steam fixed this.
The same workaround still works for gifting games if the person that you're sending already have the game though.

You always keep 1 copy from the 4-pack, otherwise you would be abusing the system :c

But if you already have the game you can't do that. I don't think it's abusing the system to share games with others with your legal purchase... I mean, if anything, they could restrict you to just one 4 pack if you already own the game to help prevent gray market sales, but Valve is supremely lazy so that would be too much work to actually treat your customers like people.

But if it's for trading purposes only is almost the same than wanting it for reselling the gifts at the gray market.
