Valiev, lol. They may look almost completely identical, but to a russian speaker Valuev is obviously a russian surname and Valiev is something from Caucasus mountains (Chechnya, Dagestan etc) =) And yes, technically he is "russian", but not ethnically. That's why i didn't understand you =)
