Destiny 2 will be exclusive to Battle.net on PC... What are your thoughts?

Don't trust Blizzard anymore, and either Activision so for me whatever. Now we wait for announcement, that next COD's will appear on BN. :D

I would like for battlenet to stay blizzard games only but on the other side one game cant hurt. I am not really interested on destiny but if i were battlenet is a good service so if the game is good it will be a hit. I do hope they dont expand too much with games tho

Do that. Literally no reason to keep GOG galaxy, you can just download the individual games if you want to play them :)

Battle.net is owned by Activision (or at least, the same command chain), the Blizzard games on it prove it's a reliable and efficient backbone for online multi-player (for the most part).
So from both technical (proven tech) and business (keep the 30% cut Valve would claim for yourself) perspectives, this makes sense.
I am curious about what this means for cross-promotions, Blizzard's partial independence from Activision etc. though.

Since Black Thorne and Lost Vikings I haven't encountered a Blizzard game that would appeal to me. I was planning on giving a shot to Destiny 2 since the PC announcement yet I'm not installing another client for just one game. I still can't stand Origin and Uplay in my PC so I will pass.

Doesn't matter to me. I don't mind games being on different platforms. Competition is a good thing. I use Steam, Origin, UPlay and GOG Galaxy. If I'm ever interested in a game on Battle.net (doubtful, but I suppose it could happen) I would be okay adding that to the list.
Good games are good games, doesn't really matter how you have to get to them.
Someone recently suggested a program (like Trillian for messenger-type programs) where you could access all of the gaming platforms in a single place. That would be interesting.

It was designed to be a giant-ass game series from the start. Originally, Destiny 2 should have been released at the start of 2016 and by this summer we should have seen the release of Destiny 3, with D4 and D5 released until late 2019. But since the original game was so bad that it took them a year to make it playable and not lose their entire player base (they actually managed to expand it to a pretty solid size, so, kudos), they had to postpone the sequel quite a lot.
Since Activision blew several hundred millions of dollars on it already, you can be sure they will force Bungie to create enough content to eventually earn it back. Although to their credit, they had the idea to put High Noon on Destiny 2 as well—to ensure Bungie doesn't fuck it up this time, I guess.

At launch, it was. they had to release a ton of patches, content updates, and two expansions to eventually make it work. Right now, it is playable, maybe even decent, as long as you don't try to follow the… I guess we may call it "story", from a certain and really distant angle.

I'm thinking the competition will be good to make other services like Steam better. Destiny 2 will be massive on PC and it will make Battle.net (or whatever it's called now) an even bigger force to be reckoned with.
