Most MOBAs I've come across are filled with players that would rather bitch at you for not knowing how to play the game the first time you join one than try and educate you. Might be that they are a minority, but as long as they are the loudest minority that's the image people have of the average MOBA player

Its only big in eSport because Riot buys them out to begin with. As for Dota2 tourneys "not being in sight", you may want to read up a little more before you starting making these claims. Dota 2 has had plenty of tourneys and are rather large.
Sure, its not as popular of a game as LoL but Dota2's player base is still rather large and the esport scene is very good.

actually, that's not true, there is a in-game team creator where you can create your team and get in the qualifiers to most of the tournaments, with exception of the international, which usually has the top 12 teams + 4 teams picked by the community.

Are you asking were he's from? Doesn't matter. It was on Steam available for everyone. I believe you could buy the deluxe (or whatever LoL equivalent) edition which came with Black Alistar. It was laster removed and never returned. People who bought it have it in their Steam Library.
Note: I don't. I just remember seeing it in the Steam Shop.
