Should Admins of S.Gifts make events longer for us who celebrate Christmas at 7th January? for example, some seprate event for Orthodox Christmas, delayed after this one.
What about atheists them? Or about jews ? Or pastafarians? As a member of The Church Of Flying Spaghetti Monster i demand gifts every day till the end of universe!!!!

I don't want to seem rude, but I think it can't be avoided if I want to be fully honest - it seems like a pretty entitled mindset to believe that other people/websites celebrating their own, and more widely known holidays, is discrimination against you or your beliefs.
In the first place because I don't think that people who really care about their religious holidays should celebrate/validate them through commercial promotions, events or sales. It really shouldn't matter to you whether or not Steam has a sale or SG has a gifting event during your religious celebration, if you actually care enough to celebrate your own way.
Secondly I'm not sure why you think that this lack of events or acknowledgments of your holidays equals to disrespect for your religion - or rather, that having events during your holidays will signify respect. To begin with, the "Christmas" celebrations most of us know isn't even Christian for the most part, and most Americans celebrate Christmas in a way that is based around the commercial/consumerist practice of spending lot of money, feasting and gifting. I've celebrated Christmas all my life, while being someone who doesn't believe in religion. For most people, I think, Christmas is more of an excuse to have a good time and loosen up, and a gentle reminder to bring out the best in all of us.
To be fair, I'm an atheist though so I don't have any beliefs, so perhaps my view is quite different than people who aren't in this regard.
What I'm trying to say though, is, why get upset over other people celebrating a holiday that isn't yours? Enjoy others holidays, and celebrate your own as well. Instead of complaining about the lack of acknowledgment for your religious celebration, why not introduce people to it? You could have made a forum event about it instead of complaining, and you could have broadened people's knowledge of your culture in a positive way.
Just my two cents. Hope you won't find that this comment offends you, but if it does, I do apologize as it isn't my intention.

In fact, Christmas for orthodox christians is a just religious holiday. No Christmas trees, no Saint Nicholas/Santa Claus or grandfather Frost, no gifts. Whereas catalytic Christmas is more a cultural and family holiday.
In general, it is a kind of schizophrenia to celebrate first the New Year, and then Christmas. If you live according to the Gregorian calendar, more accurate than the previous Julian, then why this mess with dates?

Well Happy Holidays to you, regardless.
I think people get a bit sensitive when it comes to what the holidays in general. Various religions feel discarded because of everything Xmas-related (my sister's boyfriend is Jewish and he says it still is a sore topic at his parents' home; a lot of easter religions don't care about Christ or mas; Pagans are understandably sore that Winter Soltice has been eclipsed by Fake Christmas etv)
And there are also atheists who seem to take it personally that people celebrate Christmas. So it's in the air.
I don't think you should feel slighted or discriminated against because the commercial side of Christmas is choosing the period around 25th of December to use the holidays to sell you things.
As for SG, well, it's a sharing event. Dates don't matter. They could be doing it in the middle of August and people would be sharing and getting the same thing. So, just enjoy the giveaways and your Christmas time when it comes 🎁⛄

Well, some religions forcing people become their religions even after death.)

First - no one forbidden take in part of this event.) Or made your special event, for region restricted users only.
Second - SG is mostly US and EU community, and they are celebrating Christmas in 24th December.
Third - there is not so much of orthodox christians, on this site and in the world, compare to other religions, and it will decrease.

Girl, if that's the level of discrimination you experience in your daily life, then please swap lifes with me :) I'll gladly bear the burden of a gaming site not caring about my beliefs if you're willing to regularly hear from the people in power in your country that you are a plague, which will obviously have a severely detrimental effect on your mental health :)))
But anyway, thanks for reminding me why I stopped visiting the forums here!

Well, for example, Russians, Serbians (my country) and some other i guess celebrate Christmas on 7th January, it seems even VALVE Steam doesn't care and other sites, it's totally forgotten, discriminated. I think it's time to do something about it, so, there is a vote poll, also feel free to comment and we will see if Admins of this site will do something about it.
Edit: i wonder if people would vote NO if they were Orthodox. I can only expect YES from Orthodox users which are not so huge population here compared to Catholics....
Edit 2: I don't do this vote cause of giveaways, but due to some respect between countries, to make the world better place where different religions show respect to each other...
