pretty self-explanatory. Enter giveaways, win sometimes. Bundle games give you 15% of the face value since they're so cheap. Pretty balanced and fair. More you give, the higher level you get. First giveaway gets you level 1, after that you have to give more each time.

Welcome to Steamgifts!
If you have not done so, may I suggest you read the FAQ and guidelines.
There are also a couple of guides out there as well as the "SG bookmarks". Enjoy your stay!

Steamgifts in a nutshell: give games, earn games.
When you want to do giveaways, be sure to check if the games are possible to give away(press Create a New Giveaway then type in the game you want to give). If the game does not appear in the Create a New Giveaway page, then the game was given for free before. Also double check on the bundles page to see if the game is in a bundle because bundled games do not yield 100% of the price value that is calculated for your Steamgift level.
Blacklisting is pretty much a way to prohibit someone from entering your giveaways and the same happens when someone blacklists you. You can blacklist anyone for any reason and other people can blacklist you for any reason too, so do not be upset if you cannot enter a person's giveaway when you want to. Whitelisting means to give someone VIP treatment and permit the individual into a whitelist giveaway.
Sometimes giveaway creators use SG Tools(a site that places specific requirements a person must pass to enter a giveaway), Jigidi(recently introduced; a jigsaw puzzle game that gives part of a URL or a whole URL to the giveaway), and It's Too Hard(a site of list of questions a person must answer to get a URL for a giveaway).
When you see the word "train" it means the giveaway creator has made a series of giveaways usually with the first giveaway description have a URL link to the second giveaway and the second giveaway description has a link to the third giveaway, etc.
Your Steamgift level is flexible. It will go up or down; level goes up from giving away games and goes down when a game becomes part of a bundle.
