Considering you can get the base game for a few dollars these days, $12 for 9 characters, a full fix and skins... making the whole thing like $15... not bad actually. Certainly not what I'd call expensive.

but that's not what i said. ^^ a skin is not much work. but a character in a fighting game is a lot of work. and it's actual gameplay that gets added to the game. not only new graphics and animations, but also a new moveset. and every character has to be balanced with all the others. it's way more value than a skin. and it's way more work for the dev than a skin. so i think it is definitely worth a few bucks. that's what i meant.

Sure, it's just an opinion, I'm well aware of that, I'm also not a fan of fighting games, and particularly on this case, the main game is so much cheaper than those packs, so it's weird to think of spending double the amount to get some characters

There was a lot of mess around MK X so I'm not really defending it, but each skin also have a different special moveset, in this case skins are somewhat more than other games' skins, in terms of work required on them. (I don't know and don't really care if the price is high or not, as I'm not interested in the game)

So if I have the first season pass, and only need the 4 new DLC chars, then it's 10 bucks.
If someone only had the base game and nothing else, he pays 13 bucks.
BTW: The netcode is horrible. Just a heads-up if someone actually thinking about getting it for online matches. :)

The XL version fixes tonnes of net issues. I've seen very very few reports that the XL beta was found lacking netcode for anyone.

It doesn't make sense and I have reasons to believe it's a typo on their part.
1) Ok so it makes sense to include Goro in option 1, maybe 2, but in option 3 including him in Kombat Pack 2 makes absolutely no sense.
2) Why include him in KP2 and not KP1 after all this time? Again makes no sense.
3) They would lose profit including Goro in KP2, no one would buy the individual character dlc anymore.
4) Notice how his picture is not included in KP2, more reasons to believe it's a typo on their part.

Mortal Kombat X Premium is $40, with Kombat Pack 2 it ends up being $60 (same price as the full XL pack).
Mortal Kombat X is $30, with XL Pack it ends up being $55 (So you lose $5 if you already bought Kombat Pack 1/Premium)
Goro is an extra $5, but is bundled free in every XL pack, meaning if you paid for him, you also lost $5.
Of course, the two DLC packs are 50% off at launch, so if we factor off of a retail purchase cost, you end up losing out even more.
However, perhaps the discount is intended as a gesture of good will toward previous purchasers. Seems likely MKX will be removed from the store at that point, as well [else the lack of discount on XL makes no sense]. From that perspective, previous owners may end up with an equal or better bargain- y'know, assuming you value it by way of retail purchasing.

They finished MKX DLCs and went into full-Injustice-2-dev mode. So they created MKXL as their version of "GOTY" edition and created few "upgrades" to get all DLC, depending how much/little you already owned.
Goro wasn't in KP1, so they "add" him to KP2 - along with few skin packs also not included in KP1 - to finish whole package.

I feel it's hypocritical to continue to "punish" developers/publishers after they correct an oversight. But at the same rate I have lost all interest in the game after what they did and this won't be enough to get me stop playing the games I moved on to.
Still, if you were holding out for this before buying the game it's a bit silly, bordering on stupid to say: "Too little, too late!"
I certainly understand it not being the price point everyone wants, though.
