Wow, good puzzle! Sometimes the easier ones are the hardest. Found that one to be harder than the last one, as there was no real clue what to look for except with the 5 hints being there pushing you in the right direction. Dunno how many things I tried analysing that text without finding the right way. The small 'u' was a good hint, but as it weren't the five first letters and reading here that typos might be unintended I wasn't too sure about this. I even thought about letters meaning single letters here but only in the text of themselves ('the reverse side of which brings you this letter' for example). Looking forward to the next puzzle! :)

Interesting fact I found while searching for keywords in the letters looking for recurrences: 1. write - writing 2. recently - recent 3. location - local 4. joy - joyous 5. golden - gold...Every letter contained only one combination of a word being slightly changed and repeated in the letter. Even two letter starting words were included here, that must mean something! :D

Well, I decoded everything, and I thought, "Surely it can't be this easy," and never even checked. In retrospect, I'm glad I didn't. A giveaway with exactly as many entrants as copies is a beautiful thing in my opinion. Congratulations to the winners!

... well, FUCK. I had gotten it right! God damn it, I hate it when that happens. :( The right link sometimes gives an invalid giveaway.

A series of sealed envelopes have been delivered to your estate these past months. A collection of odd black and white maps, with some correspondence on the reverse side, sent from your dear C. F. They are gathering dust in your dresser drawer, but perhaps they are worth reexamining...A Quick Response sometimes conceals deeper meaning... These words seem to carry some portents for future gains. Be careful not to drop these while you're getting them out of your desk, the order in which they've arrived is important.
The first letter, postmarked Julisberg, delivered 1 May, 1837
The second letter, postmarked Little Snake, delivered 20 May, 1837
The third letter, postmarked Breakneck Point, delivered 4 June, 1837
The fourth letter, postmarked Bane, delivered 22 June, 1837
The fifth letter, postmarked Steward, delivered 6 July, 1837

Solution:
Hey now. This one was just for fun, no long chain or deciphering like previous adventure puzzles. Each of the decoded QR codes gave a message. The links for each QR code read "the first letter," "the second letter," "the third letter," etc. If you took the first letter from the first link's decoded QR, the second letter from the second link's decoded QR... etc., you'd get "u, "e," "U," "H," and "V," which lead you to Private: Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West - 16 Copies. With exactly sixteen entries, this is the first "uncontested multi copy win" that I've seen here. Grats all around, it'll take me a while to send out all the copies. Give me some time :)
