DLC before game ! thanks to new gamer generation

DLC at release always seemed like bs to me. If it's ready before release it should be in the fucking game. I always hoped DLC would lead to an age of continued development for a game, long passed release. And, it has. It really has, but, at a cost. Not the price of the DLC, I consider the "cost" the use or release DLC that is necessary to the story.

I found information, that owners of pre-ordered collectors edition of ME3 will get it for free. Anyone know something about this?

I actually cancelled my preorder for PC version. I'll wait until it hit bargain prices since I have a gigantic backlog to begin with. Although I'm sure EA/Bioware won't take a large enough sales hit in order to wake them up. I'm sure the general population will reach the breaking point eventually with all of this DLC bullshit.

Might as well be asking people to pirate it.

Well, the day 1 DLC is a bit sad, but what's the "EXTREMELY IMPORTANT" part of the story that they took out and put it in as DLC? The whole thing about recruiting a new member just sounds like the Zaeed mission in ME2, and that wasn't even very important to the whole plot. You guys are overreacting as usual. Typical.

60$ game releasing an essential DLC (+10$) for gameplay before the game is released! Ok Bioware you guys are in my hate list now.

Anyone else besides me wind up buying games when released and then getting the DLC that should have been in it from the start for generous friends.

I think this is an obvious case of Sith master and pupil, while bioware seems to be the bad guy, theres an even bigger evil behind it, the sith lord EA, the republic its slowly turning into an empire with the intent to pass laws like SOPA/PIPA/ACTA. I hope i get a lightsaber soon or ill be pissed off.

My goodness this is just sad, even worse than the bullshit EA post on their BF3 forums.

If it's the DLC that you get for buying the game new, then I have no problem with it (like that project 10-dollar) depending on how important it really is (something I don't think anyone here can really say for sure about since it hasn't been released yet). But from the sounds of it it's only free in the collector's edition. That is pretty stupid if you ask me. I think that EA is really the one causing problems. The company has seemed to get worse and worse since EA took it over. Not to mention Origin being mandatory for the multiplayer on EVERY PLATFORM.

Of course it's not like this is the only company to do this. Like that Railworks 3 game had DLC a week before it was released. Enough so that it was more expensive then the actual game.

Considering how amazing the Mass Effect series has been, they are doing a damn good job of making me hate them despite that. There needs to be another company doing sci-fi action RPGs
