Need some Dungeon Defenders help

Hey guys, two of my friends and I recently started playing Dungeon Defenders because of the latest Indie Royale bundle. We're having a lot of trouble in the later levels. I'm playing a DPS squire, and I haven't had luck finding any good weapons for my character. I was wondering if anybody had some good spare level 30 squire weapons, or could help me beat some of the challenges so I can some better weapons for my character. Add me on steam if you don't get any help (not at the computer all that much on weekdays, so might be hard to get a hold of me). I'm usually online for an hour or two after 5pm EST. Could help you with xp/mana/gear if you'd like.

You shouldn't be having many problems at level 30, unless you're trying to run Nightmare for some hilariously twisted reason. What levels/difficulties are you playing?

My two friends and I are all around level 30. We're trying to beat Endless Spires (medium) and Unlikely Allies (hard). The problem on both of them is the gold ogre. As the DPS squire, I'm supposed to tank and kill the gold ogre, which isn't a problem, but Endless Spires is so big that I can't kill the two ogres at the bottom and then run to the top fast enough. With Unlikely Allies, our ogre always comes and fights and gets itself killed.

Oh, fair enough. Squires really aren't the best class for DPS any more, I'm sorry to say. You'd probably be better off with a huntress kiting the ogres, along with a slow aura/gas trap to help you out. Failing that, you probably just need to level up a little more.

As for Unlikely Allies, it's just an annoying challenge. I don't have any guides for it off-hand.

EDIT: I soloed the whole game with a tower Squire originally. Twice, in fact - once waaay back near when the game launched, and then more recently after they added the Barbarian and Series EV. Tower Squires are boss, but now the barbarian outpaces DPS Squires by leaps and bounds.

Yeah, I have. Squires aren't bad, but Barb is still waaaaaay better. We are talking level 30, though, so I guess the margin for "better" isn't that huge. :B

Forget about weapons, Squire is all about towers. At least you shouldn't worry about weapon while you do campaign on Insane and lower. I never tried Nightmare to say how it's there.
So boost your tower stats mostly, also put some in cast and run speeds.

Unfortunately, I've build my squire to be DPS since I practically only play with my two buddies who focus on towers.

Squire towers are top notch, if you put stats right and know how to place them accordingly. I would say it's you who should care of tower business and let two others to beat crap outta monsters :P
I found that until level 60 or so there is no decent weapon for anyone. Try to beat any of assault challenge if you can handle it. Pretty awesome weapon reward there.

Make sure your mage doesnt suck, pretty much let them have all the tower points since their towers matter the most.

TIPS: only use of dps squire is for assault missions... and even then, i think countess is better (as well as barb).
With a tower squire + a monk + a dps huntress u will be fine (even if u use only blockages + proximity mines + snare aura)...
haven't low lvl equips (soon u will see nothing lower than mythical is worth saving)... so.. cant help with that =/

Just replay some levels because once you reach some high levels you'll get loot thats past your current rank

More than willing to help, I can get you and your friends to level 72-73 in about 30 minutes and teach you how to build. I can run you through most of the challenges to get your some gear too.

I would agree but going to 1-70 takes about an hour in good runs. 70-83 takes a good 10+ hours per character. and that's where the higher end play starts, in my opinion is more fun. But each to their own

don't do that!
the best part of the game is getting nice set ups by themselves!
after lvl 70 u only need to care about getting impossible equips... then trying nm!
let them have fun while they can!
