Make tags and assign them. Steam client kind of sucks for sorting games :)

hold ctrl or shift to select multiple games then right click and create and assign them to custom categories.

It is painfully slow to do it when you have a pretty large collection. I'd be interested in knowing if there is some sort of hack to do it quickly/easier.

I own a crap ton of games, normally when I search for stuff I see nothing but a sea of blue, unless it's alot of soundtracks which I never buy.. Steam should have better searches, like letting you exclude soundtracks...

I just use categories, which tends to do the trick perfectly fine - especially when a lot of garbage games are hidden.

I also rename games, for consistency's sake, but that requires editing the appinfo.vdf, and the game titles reset every time there's an update (I use a program to automate the process)
