I also didn't get my Lunar sale tokens (or any boost in points at the start of event for all my purchases for that matter, I started with 100 capacity only)
But for me the pit stop message shows up a bit different, I'd say worse.
It says I got 4200 tokens including 2000 from lunar sale, but that I spent 2100 tokens, when it's not true at all,
I only bought 1 emoticon, not even a single badge or anything else.
I am so done with this event, first I started with 0 points and had 100 max, even though I had more purchases than some people who randomly got 50000 points but never bought anything, not to mention various exploiters. I tried to give the event another shot with the quests for Max points, but then they decreased my Max Points yesterday that I earned from quest from 4000 to 2000 only and I am capped now.
I wanted to save up tokens at least so I can get to 15000 and buy the discount, but now Steam won't get a cent more from me for making this lousy bugged and exploitable mess of an event.
I will only exclusively buy from bundles from now on.

You bought Lunar New Year 2019 LVL1 badge for 2000 tokens earlier, that's why they stated about 2100 tokens spended.
As for the quests, they bring you only 2000 tokens (4x500) from the start of day they implemeted them (atleast for me?).
The whole event is just a cash grab, don't bother. For example, if I had zero number of tokens I'll need to spend ~2200RUR for just 100RUR SUPERIOUR PUPER DUPER FREE GAMES VOUCHER!

Yeah I realised later on that I spent my tokens on lunar sale (I didn't realise at first it counted spent lunar sale tokens as it said leftover lunar tokens) but there are still plenty of people who didn't get their leftover unspent tokens rewarded.

I should have clarified I had 2000 before I started quests, and got another 2000 after quests but lost 2000 suddenly at the sane time as hundreds of other people, including my friends after some update Valve did.

Yes I lost some (maybe 1000 or 2000) points (not sure how to call them anymore, this event is really stupidly worded and thought) out of the blue too, and never did anything (I only purchased the lv1 badge but that was at day 1, and it's just 100 anyway).
But anyway, keep your promise about not purchasing from Steam anymore, I've been doing the same for the past years (except a few less-than-1-euro games, because couldn't find them in other stores). We need more people to stop supporting them, then maybe, MAYBE, they'll start working on fixing bad issues for real and take players more seriously than just cows to milk.

I still have 0 idea what the stupid crap is about even if people want to educate me about it. You do tons of useless hassle to get a badge, who cares? With cards you could buy free games and get the badges as a bonus, now you buy the games with real money and get a badge as the only reward, so can't ever be worth it.

If you look at Twitter, so many pictures that don't make sense.
Some have more points than their max. Some boosts don't reset. I even saw someone with negative prix points.

The minute chance for a free game. Other than that it is a bit of a shit show. It was so much better the first few days, but then they effectively reduced how many points you can get per day to 100, unless you frantically buy a bunch of bullshit to get your max limit up. Which is stupid, as at that point a 5 euro discount means nothing.

I couldn't care less about this or previous events. They usually include so much extra work for so little reward that it's just not worth it. I don't want to play games that give me the most points or anything. I want to play games that I actually want to play. In this case I had a lot of unused points from the last event, and I got the rest through Bloodstained achievements, which I played anyway. So now I actually got the 5β¬ discount, used it and that's it for me, I guess.

This event sucks, can't farm cards to get some extra cash nor can I get cards for crafting badges so now I need to hold onto all my cards until the next event, that's even if its gonna have a badge you can craft -_-

Yeah a lot of people did. I started with -400. I think it's a bug and you were just unlucky. Some people started with even less than you, and some people started with over 10000 (though I think that was to do with how much they spent in the last sale iirc).

I think you guys got penalized for using the Lunar New Years rewards page that they forgot to close.Since you got to use it and an hour later no one else did because Valve become aware of their mistake. I see you with badges for it in June.

As expected it's partially broken (the Lunar Sale part) but they are trying I suppose.

I knew I should have gone with Corgi. That was instinctively my first choice because it's a fuckin corgi and who doesn't like corgis but instead I went with Pig. Steam should have known everyone was going to pick Corgi and made the team choices random.
It also sucks that your max points don't reset each day. I was getting over a 1000 points a day for the first 2-3 days but now I'm only getting 100 points a day.
In short this event sucks.

With Corgi you're almost guaranteed to be on the winning team. But since that team is far larger than any other you have a lower chance of winning anything.
The problem with picking non-Corgi teams is you are not guaranteed to be in the top 3 and thus have no chance of winning at all and so you are left with the feeling that you made the wrong choice.
It's best not to worry about it. I slightly regret going Corgi as I'd have preferred to have the badge for joining a different animal.

I've had a support ticket running for about a week in trying to get the 1000 points I should have from day 2 activity and they won't bulge. They're claiming activity means pressing the boost button (which wasn't defined as such until the points breakdown was added; funnily enough after I asked for an itemised breakdown of my points) and am blaming me for not being able to do so on day 2 due to negative capacity I caused by requesting a refund (the site however said nothing about capacity being deducted, only tickets).
I also find the phrase "sorry for the confusion this caused you" incredibly condescending. I feel it implies I'm the problem,

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Grand Prix. We realize that the race track had some unexpected turns β we tried to straighten them out when we could, and weβll anticipate the curves better next time we invite you to the races.
Sounds like from this that they will reintroduce this again at some stage. No one knows for sure if the tokens carry over but I suspect they may do like they did from the lunar event.
